Quote from an answerer:
"He TRIED to give us paradise, but we threw it away."

I keep reading all of these questions that make reference to pushy christians. I'm a christian... and I'm not pushy. I love all people, I respect that other people have different beliefs and faiths..I don't try to push Jesus on them, I don't try to convert them.. I let them believe what they will, just as I believe what I will.. Does this make me a bad Christian?

I'm an agnostic, not wanting to change anyones religion. I say this practically every question.

Why is it only crazy religious people, theres all these crazy christians saying you need jesus, and crazy pastafarians saying you need the flying spaghetti monster.

You never see a single agnostic saying "The only way is agnostocism" Why do you think that is?

What a great reply you gave debydoo- (It does not change anything. The better comment would be
"IF Abaraham had stayed in God's will would we have this problem today? ) Yes , The very cause of this situation is this!!And what happened after was this!
Yes islam has grown from the seed of pain, that is the pain of ishmael, translated through the later muhammud into the Koran.
Lets open up this can of worms , lets deal with it my half brother , With the Blessing and healling That is The Son of God, open your hardend mind and let His light in, put away your sword and come to the table- Our Father Abraham is waiting there.

On this site, the vast majority of answers come from the Christian faction. I would love to read answers that come from those who do not follow either Christianity, Jeudaism or Islam. Yes, there are some pagans here but I'd really enjoy reading the spriitual ideas of other faiths. Any Buddists? Native Americans? If so, please give me your faith based ideas on this question.

Sin. Christians believe this is something more than "crime and punishment" because it impacts on your mortal soul. What is your take on the idea of sin? Do you believe it exists? Or is it simply cause and effect? Something that is dealt with fairly quickly in our physical reality?

I will be fascinated to read your responses. Thank you.

Just curious...if you own more than one Bible, which one do you reference the most? In my household of three(my daughter, my husband, and myself), we own seven Bibles. Most of the time I'm using my slim NAS, as it is the easiest to carry with me, and when I'm really stumped on something(thank you Jim, you're prompting me to read more, I love it!), I use my Nelson Study Bible(NKJV), it's huge!

McCollum v. Board of Education, 333 U.S. 203, 212 (1948).
Struck down religious instruction in public schools. The case involved school-sponsored religious instruction in which the sole nonreligious student, Jim McCollum, was placed in detention and persecuted by schoolmates in Champaign, Illinois.

This court case is a prime example of why religion cannot be in schools and was necessary because of the hateful and discriminatory actions of religious people.

Shouldn't you be blaming hateful religious people?

I have trouble understanding how we the created have the audacity to determine whether or not God is Just or Moral. I find that the people that hate religion the most, spend most of their days talking about or arguing about religion. I have a lot to think about concerning this matter, but I am open to honest interpretations of the responders heart

...is it because you think it's a sin? How much do your religious beliefs influence your position on drug crminalization? I'm referring not so much to whether you want to use them yourself, but whether you would have the law prevent others from using them.
