He also said "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life; no man comes to the Father except through Me."
He also said "Go, and sin no more."
He also said "You must be born again."
He also said "I do not come to bring peace, but a sword."
Reading.

He lived among sinners-but he did not accept sin...if you have read the new testament, you should recall the admonition "go and sin no more"...i know that this culture has a perception of Christ as giving everyone a big hug and saying "it's all good, just do whatever makes you happy"...but that's not who He was...

Jesus lived with the sinners that's for sure but he also taught them and saved their souls. Jesus wants us to love everybody and treat them well. We can love and be kind to everybody that does not mean we have to except everything they do. I love my friends even they gay ones I would never treat them poorly, I will support them in almost everything they do. I wont turn my back nor will I cram my religion down their throats. They know were I stand Biblically and when the opportunity naturally arises we discuss Christianity.

Jesus not only preached tolerance and acceptence, but He lived it.
What we cannot forget, however, is that He addressed sin issues with whomever He was speaking.
If Christians are to live Christ-like lives, shouldn't we also be addressing sin?

Jesus didn't preach any such thing. This statement is an example of Blasphemy (for those who have asked).
He preached AGAINST tolerance of sinful lifestyles among the citizins.
He preached AGAINST acceptance of sin into our lives.
He didn't say, "Live and let live," He said, "I have come that they may have life & have it more aboundantly."
STOP LYING ON JESUS!

I disagree , Jesus went out among them and taught, but He never accepted sin. Jesus never told us to forget the biblical standards and accept anyone and anything. He would have us, love the sinner, but hate the sin.

he did not. that's the entire reason he was rejected, condemned, arrested, tried and crucified. (to the people doing these things) he came to rock the boat. he didn't say "sure, do whatever you feel is right", or "hey, i believe this but that might not be right for you." yes, he lived among sinners, that's inevitable, everyone's a sinner, but he never said to go ahead and sin, it's okay. that's what makes it a sin...it's not okay.

The teachings attributed to Jesus do not in the least teach tolerance. I have to conclude you've never actually read the silly book you are advising people to read.

The majority of the world's population holds no belief in Jesus.
Try a more universal argument.
