If a man were to kill his own child, he would rightly be considered murderer. But a woman claims that it's her "right to choose" (to murder).

Has anyone here ever read a relgious book that didn't belong to their faith, if so, what happened? Did you convert to that religion? If not, did it strengthen your beliefs?

I'm 16 years old, and pretty much starting to lost belief in God. I'm not an atheist simply because "religion is too lame for high school", or crap like that. I'm atheist because it's the conclusion I've come to. So my question(s) is/are: What did you do once you realized you were an atheist? How did you tell the people close to you?

During a faith-healing session, it's quite usual for the preacher to cast Satan into the bottomless pit & seal him there. At the next faith-healing session that preacher says the same thing. Is it possible for Satan to escape time & again from the bottomless pit after he has been sealed there?

Who are the benificiaries of the evoltuion vs. creation debate?
In the end, who benefits from someone (a large number of someones) believing evolution or believing creation?
(Not counting whatever personal benefits can be gained by those who pick or switch a side.)

Global warming, ozone depletion, Endangering species, making a species extinct, filling the world with trash, nuclear testing creating radioactivity, Depleating the earth if oil and other natraul resorces ect. I would like to know one good thing weve done...

Were you raised pagan?
If not:
What religion were you raised with?
When did you break away from the religion of your youth?
Would you say you were enticed away by something new or pushed away by something you disagreed with?

In reading the answers to a question along the lines of "Would the world be a safer place if there was no religion?" I cam across an answer given by one of our resadent bible thumpers (I'm pretty sure you all know and... well not love him, but you all know him) which was "ABSOLUTELY NOT! Man is inherently DEPRAVED-- things would be WORSE!"

So is he admitting that, if not for the threat of hell and the idea of an omnipotant being constantly looking over his sholder, that he would go around eating babies? Do some people actually believe that, without some form of religion, we would have no moral code? Don't these people know that humans, as a general rule, are a self preserving species and that most would instinctivly gravitate toward behavior that helps further the species, not hinder it? Of course, there are crazies out there, but the vast majority of people would not turn into crazy mass murdering rapists if you took away religion.

What do you think? Agree with me, or him? Why?

If they are, share me your testimonial according your OWN life.
If they are NOT, also share me your testimonial according your OWN life.

Don't talk NONSENSE to me. I don't want to read quotations from holy bible or who/whatever. I want to read a real testimonial(s)... in this case yours!!

Do you get my point here?

You had your Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel. But Cain was sent out to all the earth and everyone would see his mark and not destroy him-did they have ancient malls back then, metropolis cities, taxi's, or language speaking animals? Who would have seen his mark? I mean his Mom and Dad, were alive. He killed his brother, who else existed? Bill Clinton the XXZZZLLIIKKLI(&*^? And if he did, did he have genitals? WTG? Where did the females come from to produce the rest of us? And I guess we all came from Cain, because Abel was dead, so we are all descendants of evil?
