Absolutely my friend ;-)
Religion was invented to subjugate the weak minded "Sheep" amongst us.
Lucky for me, I'm a "Wolf" not a sheep. As such I can "see" through the Religious Dogmatic Ones and perceive the truth.
The Bible was written by "Sheep Herders" in order to control their flocks. If they try and send their sheep in my direction I will eat them alive hehe ;-)

People are definitely weakminded. Not all religious people molest kids you know. Wars would have been fought anyway, religion was a reason for the person in power to start war with another. People would wind up wanting land anyways.
Religion is just an institution that helps give people a stable life, and they (as in the people of the religion) are there to help other people of the same religion when they are in need. Sure religion is full of s*** but so are people.

properly, first we ought to ascertain a qualifier. i think there's a God and had we no longer violated his believe we would not be having this talk. besides to, if guy had reached out to God in the course of the situations he reached out we'd want to be more desirable helpful off. finally, if all of us lived the way the be conscious teaches this may a marvelous position. Now, enable us pretend there is not any God and religions of all sorts are basically a contrivance of the elite. the quick answer is i do no longer comprehend. per chance as many have reported many terrible atrocities were dedicated in the call of a conception. Jews, Muslims, and Christians are uncomplicated aims because they're nevertheless going good. yet, no faith is without blood shed. seem on the Aztecs and Mayans. Many Indians in the Americas went to conflict for his or her gods. So, i might want to assert definite the international can be a more desirable helpful position. yet, i ask your self what an unrestrained guy might want to have known like. What does it remember in case you do something to some one else as long as you spot a earnings for your self? i imagine the international can be a more desirable helpful position without guy.

Well, following that line of thought, the world would be a safer place if government never existed.
No, wait: The world would be a safer place if people never existed.
Unless, like, you're a seal and you're around Great Whites. Or you're a gazelle and you live near cheetahs.
And if you're a peony and you're caught in a hurricane...wow, that ain't safe either.
Oh, gosh dang it, what am I saying? Am I trying to say that the world would not be safer any way you sliced it?
Am I perhaps pointing out that nature can be terrifying and deadly, and that people are prone to, like, crime and violence?
That seems to be what I'm saying.
But let's blame it all on religion! Yeah, man, that'll do. Blame religion! Jainism has got to go! And those awful, violent Taoists too.
But "if" things like your questions are really pretty pointless to talk about, aren't they? Things have been how they have been. Adapt accordingly.

Well, the Roman Catholics are accredited by some to have instituted the civilisation in which us westerners now live....
Religon has had many purposes, think about it. For example, the ancient Egyptians had doctors who were paid by temples. They did work for them and researched stuff. They were doctors; they healed and buried people, they melted sand and created coveted gems and (a little worse quality) swords. They measured the sky and the ground. They founded the precursor to the industrial civilisation. It was founded out of state and the people.
Religion today, I'm agreeing with your exasperation with the fundies here, is not needed. If you look at it,around or less than 30 per cent of the country, mostly from the less developed and educated parts, is fundie. They use their resources to no good, with the exception that some of them participate in feeding the poor and in bigger programs that are supposed to get them off the streets. (But to the purpose of being able to evangelize to them, often.)
Many religions, not in this group, are of great purpose--they get the neighbors together, they do outside stuff together. They can be a good thing for many people. If you have kids, they can take them off your hands every now and then, 'n stuff. As long as they don't advocate fantasy end of the world scenarios and death, they have a good chance of being ok.
As much as I don't advocate for religion and probably like it worse than you do, one has to admit that for the most part, the majority of faiths has a good purpose and work toward it rather faithfully, as much as imperfect humans can.
But for is it needed...we need something solid to take religion's (or that particular civil society's) place, were we to do away with religion, if we could.

In Europe and England records were discovered that recorded the crime rates and murder rates through over 700 years. It was noted that Protestantism, Christianity drastically reduced crime rates as it spread over Europe. I suspect that without some religions that we would live in a dog eat dog society. Yes many wars have been fought in the name of religions including Christianity, but without the basis of Christianity which most western governments utilized there would be far more death and destruction than exists today. I used to have a link to a report on these records but I couldn't locate it just now.

The world would not be a safe place if God were out of thsi country. Depends on religion. God is not in a religion. He is in a relationship with the almighty God. With that in mind, religion is a bunch of duties that man made up to satisfy a religious box for the week on Sunday. A relationship is 24/7 all the time. Not sure what all you are talking about. Religion is not a crutch for the weak to survive as my former Gov. said. Religion will never save you or be anything to you without God. Religion is a bunch of does and don'ts. Don't do this. If so, you will burn up. A relationship is a one on one communication with God like I am writing this to you today. Constant and never once in awhile...

I would say on a small scale no. People who accept relgion might be more likely to do the right thing. Now this is in regards to the individual.
On a large scale, when talking about large groups or countries, Yes! Goverments have been using religion to make people fight wars since the beginning of time.

Oh man i could not agree more,, is there anything more pitiful than hearing a "leader" saying that "god" is on our side,, and conversely the other "leader"says the same,, Now how can god be on both sides I used to ask myself,, then I realised that I was being a little silly,, you see both "leaders" had the same god but each leaders god apparently had a different story to tell,, and depending on which leader you followed your "god" was the real one,, and that gods message contradicted the others,, very confusing for the children and weak minded, but they are the targets and fodder for the zealots who proclaim the high moral ground in the name of god.. no one will ever win this argument

We humans are not able to face the vicissitudes of life on our own strength. Hence when a Prophet claims direct relationship with God & promises His help to us if we follow him, we embrace that religion. We often experience that Faith heals. If religions were not there most of us would have crumbled under life's crushing weight.
Wars are not always caused by religion . What about Iran-Iraq war, & Uk -Germany War ?--These were fought between followers of the same religion ?
Thank God religions are here.Dont you agree ?

...There simply is nothing else. Without religion the world would be a whole lot worse off and the nuts and lunatics would still have influence under the pretense of some other type of ideology.
The trick is to maintain the separation of church and state. When the two mix...things become cloudy and dangerous for everyone.
