Well. see, the key word here is "Believe". there is a thing called false belief. by deception.
The Bible tells a Christian they won't think it, wish it, hope for it, or dream for it. What does it say?
1 John 5:13
"These things which I have written unto you, that believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may KNOW you have enternal life, and you may believe on the name of the Son of God."
a Christian KNOW's it. Others wish it.

Anyone can go through the motions and call themselves a Christian but not care about Christ's demands to deny themselves and follow Him. There are far too many people who are trusting in their own works to save them and think that God grades on a curve--but that ain't the way it works. Check out the link below for an excellent article about the fallacy of "once saved, always saved" that leads people to think they can act however they want after they are saved--they think their "fire insurance" gives them license to do whatever they want and get the benefit of heaven without any of the demands.

I do not profess to be a "Devout Christian." I do believe in living by a certain set of spiritual principles. Honesty, service, justice, brotherly love, hope, faith, integrity, perseverance, humility, courage, willingness, and selflessness to name a few. I believe in Spiritual progress- not spiritual perfection......There are questions that can only, truly be answered by the supreme creator. By the way-how many pages are in the book of life?
Are there as many as in the Egyptian Book of the Dead?

Nice try . But all names are recorded in the Book of Life. Sorry but you can't hide. their are other names for the Book of Life.

I know mine is as a result of my relationship in Christ. Him alone and He alone is the reason for this life. NOt me or what I got. All HIM!!! God does not pull any tricks. You know in your own heart of hearts if it is or not. You do not need anyone to tell you or convince you that you do not have God in your heart/life. I do not have to convince you of the truth for you will know what side of the fence you are on before you leave this life. That is HIs word for you. For God does not trick anyone into believing HIm or His word. It just is the truth in red and black. If you know you are saved, your heart calls abba Father. If not, you know you are not saved. That is what the Word says.

If it ain't in the book of life - get it there - ask me how if you don't know.
People will raise the dead, heal the sick etc. in Jesus's name.
He will tell you on judgment day, " get away from me, I never knew you"
work out your salvation with fear and trembling

as long as you believe in Jesus you shall be saved..it's not by works but by faith..if anything the bible teaches that anything that does not come from faith is sin.
"However to the man that does not work, but trust God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness."-Romans 4:5

I have Faith...
God will show His mercy on whom-ever He chooses. We won't know until we get there...but I want to here my name called and..."Well done my good and faithful servant." That day will be awesome!
