Please don't say "women". Not all women believe in murdering children. I am pro-life, and believe abortion at any stage and for any reason is wrong. People like to pull the ' what if the mother is in danger ' card but statistically that rarely happens.
And by the way, many times it is the father of the child who coerces the mother to have the abortion. Responsible enough to have sex = Responsible enough to bear the consequences.
All these people are demonstrating why we as the human race are evil. We are so selfish and self-centered that we can make up lies as to why we should condone and commit infanticide, and then make ourselves believe them too.
Lie #1: "Since the child's brain is not fully formed, it is therefore not considered a person." (So I guess this would give us the right to kill retarded people too.)
Lie # 2: "We should not bring 'unwanted' children into this world."
( Babies given up for adoption are almost always adopted - people are on waiting lists for infant children, so they are not unwanted.)
Lie #3:" They will grow up in poverty, misery and desolation." ( Are these people God? I think not. I have MANY adopted friends and relatives, most of whom are doing quite well and are as happy as any other person)
Lie #4: "It is a woman's right to have an abortion. " (Who says? The government? An institution of lawless, corrupt individuals? If the murder of voiceless children is a right of women, it is not a God-given right.)
PITY US for we will reap what we sow.

Women don't believe abortion is murder because they believe in magic. They practice magical thinking by believing that a being can be a clump of cells and "not a person", thus eligible for extermination, at 3pm, say, and at 3:30pm when it has passed out of the vaginal tract, abracadabra, it is now a human being. How does this magic occur? Don't ask me! As far as I can see he was exactly the same being at 3pm as he is at 3:30pm!
When I was young every woman realized that the child she carried was a child--her child! Not any more! Now we have found new words to describe a child. It's now a zygote, an embryo, a fetus. How convenient. We don't want to be bothered with realizing that we have a real human being growing inside us so we just give it a new name and, presto, it's not human anymore.
Just think how easy it would be to get rid of whole groups of people that we don't want to bother with--just rename them!! How to get rid of the pesky, expensive, old farts? How about if we give them a new name!! How about, say, Senilities! Who cares if we ship a couple hundred off to the doctors to be mercifully and humanely put to sleep. Their brains don't work so it must be OK! After all they're SENILE!!!!!
Consider all the useless dregs on society that we could get rid of this way. The retarded, the handicapped, the insane! All uneeded and expensive drains on the US economy. Not to mention how they take funds and time away from their families that could better be used on college educations, vacations, and corporate careers!
I'm beginning to like this magical thinking thing. The possibilities are endless! I can think of another group that I'd really be interested in renaming into oblivion: Teenagers!!!!! How annoying are they? OK, guys, come up with a new name so we can start shipping these zeros on their one-way trip out.
And, don't forget, IT'S MAGIC!!!!!

The rationalization for abortion is heartbreaking
At the moment of conception it is a human life, no argument changes that.
It is at a stage - no less a human life than an elderly person or a child - whom we all agree would be murder to end their life.
When you were in your mother's womb, just conceived - was it you? Would your life have ended if you had been aborted at that point? All life has to go through these stages - but it is a life, a person.
The analogy works - a man could not do it, but it is the same act to end a life.
My heart breaks at the blindness, and the continued taking of human life.
These rationalizations are evil. Every life is as valuable as yours.
It is never our choice but God's alone as to the term of life. We do not determine if conditions are right, will it work out, etc. because every life has a purpose and the greatest value to God.

An embryo/fetus is not a person. Sorry.
To compare it to a man killing a 4yr old or whatever is ridiculous. A child can survive on it's own. Let's take a 6wk old embryo and leave it out in a room. It cannot survive without the mother. It's just not a person yet, it's a zygote.
Who are you or I to dictate what women do with their bodies? You want to keep carry and birth and keep your child? I support that. You think, for whatever reason, that terminating your pregnancy is your best option? I support that. You want to carry to term and give your baby up for adoption? I support that too. These aren't easy decisions for any woman and I respect that they know best for themselves.
P.S. Funny how the two people you claim have really good answers are the two who agree with you. Did you want answers from people or just a validation of your own opinion?

Do you people not realize where babies come from? Why can't people use birth control? I will never understand this...Abortion is legal and is used as birth control methods...make me sick! I also like short stuff's answer...disproves all the pathetic "reasons" as to why people choose murder over life!
Thank you for posting these kind of questions BTW!

I'm not about women's right to choose; I just refuse bringing a baby into the world that is not wanted. If a woman does not want to be a mother for some reason, whether she is rich or poor, then she is already not setting a good foundation for the baby.

Abortion isn't murder. Murder is by definition ILLEGAL. So abortion is only murder when it's illegal and even then only if it is illegal because the fetus is defined as being the slaying of a person. People *don't agree with you on that the fetus is a person, or what point it becomes a person so get over it or posistion some evidence or logical arguement that proves you're right*
If not, you're just using the same buzzwords over and over again.

Good question!
They can say that the developing baby is not a human, yeah whatever, but even so, it has feelings, nerves, etc...when you go in and kill it in saline or ---it's so inhumane I can't even type it. It's disgusting what people do to these babies, and then call it "choice"....sick!

Maybe we don't want to be pushed into making such a terrible choice, by parents, boyfriends, inadequate education about contraception (a/k/a "abstinence-only"), policies at schools and workplaces that punish rather than assist mothers, etc.
