I'm currently in high school and it's sad. I constantly see people being insulted because of their race or looks and I'm sick of it.

I don't see why anyone would want to look like a total idiot just to "make fun" of someone.

So my questions are:

Have you ever seen behavior like this?
What are your thoughts on it?
And why can't people accept everyone else for who they are (IE: Obese, anorexic, short, tall, mentally retarded ect..)

I am from NC. In the south we tend to say ma'am a lot. Just curious to know if other regions around the US use this term also.

Thanks!

Ok, so my girlfriend whants to go clubbing to the lamirage club. Im about 18 years old, college student, and work 30 hours a week. My question is, i dont know why but i dont realy like to go clubbing. Ive been there like 2 times and i enjoy it. But i feel like i dont whant to fit in and people with those jordan shoes and baseball hats and hip hop reaggeton annoy me alot! I would rather go to the absorbatory or just chill at the pad or go to dinner. I dont know why, but this kind of makes me feel like a borring person. It think its just not the time to go and start clubbing. I like to dance but i just dont realy think its correct. Maybe whene i m 21 and i have a degree and can party and i got money to buy expesive clothing. What do i do?
+i got a girfriend why would i want to go to a club and see a bunch of teens get drunk...lol,

When you mix races and have mixed children don't you think that the child is going to be confused and what group they be friends with. Because let's just admit it, blacks and whites can both be racist. Is it fair to put the child into a situation like that. Like I said no offense, just a question that some won't ask but want to know the answer.

I (a black female) went into a Beauty Supply store (with an Asian employee) on my lunch break. I wasnt looking for anything inparticular, just scoping the (overpriced but pretty) jewelry section, when the employee asked me if i knew any strippers. I told him no and wondered why he asked....he said that he could go to the strip club and charge the drunk strippers more for the jewelry...i kinda laughed it off...but it made me uncomfortable. should I be offended in any way???

Why do some of us have a problem with black men who date outside their race? Why do you show so much hatred toward that couple? Are you jealous? What are you angry about considering that particular black man is not YOUR man, why do you care about what some other person is doing? How does that impede on your life? Why do you feel the need to scorn the black men that do?

I'm simply playing devil's advocate?

IF THESE QUESTIONS DO NOT APPLY TO YOU THEN PLEASE DON'T GET OFFENDED I AM SIMPLY ASKING A QUESTION THAT MANY WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE ANSWER TO!

I have a friend who has the mindset of "I'm my own person and nothing I do is influenced by 'society' or what 'society' says I should do or think." Granted, not a bad philosophy. But by rebelling against authority or society isn't a person just joining another group of society? Therefore not being any different at all really than anyone else. And by trying so hard NOT to be like something, you're showing you do care what other people think, otherwise you would just live and do what comes natural to you instead of constantly trying to be or not to be something. I don't think a person can not be formed by the society they live in. There is no way a person born in America is going to be the same as someone born in a third world country. It's what we're surrounded by that makes us who we are. And the real question I guess is, is that so bad? I think the people who are truly themselves don't try to be anything, they just be. It's like the goth southpark episode.

I have such problem with my possibly future college. I'm in the middle of the application process, but i've found that everytime i go there, the student aid people and all the faculities are soo rude, i dunno if its just to me, ( everytime i go there i think of how i talk to them and all that so i'm not being mean in any way) they just seem soo tired of being there and make me feel like an idiot everytime i ask for help.
I dunno, maybe i should just suck it up!
is there a major difference in the education between a university/college and a community college??

Face it, blacks have rights and recourses others do not have and act and vote in blocks. This is a generalization, sure, but is it enough to scare you off? If so, what can be done to help black society as a whole?
