I have a court date today for a speeding ticket in NJ.
I've gone to court before with my mohawk up but now its quite a bit bigger. It looks kind of silly down but do I even stand a chance with it styled?

So recently I went and bought Amy Winehouse's latest album.
For a while I was against doing this due to being sick of seeing her in the UK tabloids constantly throughout the week from her excessive drug and alcohol abuse and bloody fights with her husband.
However!... after watching her perform a live set on tv in London somewhere, as well as the interviews before and after, I came to realise that she wasn't in fact all that bad.
I rushed out a few days later and bought her album. I can't stop listening to it! :P
She has an incredible voice and presence on the CD that doesn't sound like someone who has been chewed up by drugs and heavy drinking.
Thinking of such awesome musicians then such as Ozzy Osbourne and Keith Richards, do those rare musical prodigys have a higher tolerance for this kind of life?
What would they be like without it all?

The brightest flame burns shortest after all.

i've long said that if not for politics, this planet is so abundant that it could support 3X the current human population of the earth today, which would be 18 billion (18,000,000,000) people. it could feed, house, clothe, educate and medicate that many! but politics will not stop. people wish to follow leaders.

it seems as though people are letting it all fall apart. if i had a baby and no way to adequately feed and house it, i sure would not have another. what are people thinking, making all these kids?

we do not have viable energy alternatives in place whatsoever. so how then will we work and produce, because work is what keeps the money flowing.

humans take whatever they want out of the earth and from it, return garbage and toxic waste to the earth and to water.

where is fresh water for the current and ever rising population going to come from?

religion is the basis of so many wars. it seems like humans actually desire war.

what may happen to us?

I see so many people on television saying that we should not but I see so many people die from illnesses that could be prevented if they were covered.

Some say you can't go home again, but in the last few years, Bon Jovi, Michael Buble and others have sung about being able to go home. Does anyone know the other singer that is played on the radio that sings about going home? I've heard it twice and like that song.

I have proven you CAN go home and it's great to be back where I belong. I've just traveled nearly 800 miles and been here just four days and feel like I never left...wish I never did...but we do what we have to at the time.

If you miss home, go, you need to see if you missed something.

...Because, I am confused, there seems to be already words that describes such things:

- "Racism" against sexual orientation would be called homophobia

- and "racism" against religous beliefs are better known as prejudice

I am REALLY, REALLY confused on what are the limits of definitions for these words:

- Racism
- Prejudice
- Homophobia

Because, now a days, the marginal lines that defines each words (and such words) seems to be getting fuzzier and I often mix-up their meanings.

So, I guess that was my real question then...

Dear God:
I know that I'm a sinner. I deserve Hell. But You sent Jesus to die for my sins. I believe that He died and rose again. I ask you now to forgive my sins, once an for all. I now receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Personal Saviour. Please come into my heart and save me, Help me to know I am saved and live for You, the rest of my life. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

I am bothered by the events before and after the Jena 6 incident. I am ashamed with both sides, white & black. Perhaps you may even say a 3rd side is responsible, the apathetic bystanders that do nothing.

Consider this:
1) Regardless of color, any group of people that 'gang up' on a single person to beat on him, are out to do serious damage. Damage that may be unrepaireable and even cost someone's life. Such violence is a serious weapon and a serious crime and should be handled as such.
2) ANY acts of hatred against another, whether due to race, color, or creed, should be addressed immediately and fairly. If it boils down to an issue of non-existant law, take the steps to put the law in place.
3) Equal rights organizations need to work together on issues like this. This is not just a 'Black' issue. True justice must be addressed equally across the nation. Change needs to occur in Jena.

So Washington Mutual has these comercials running right now that show a group of all white bankers, and this this black guy who is supposed to be a washington mutual employee.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZnPvOn0jz8
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93_-JjSvvR0

The group of about 30 white are pompous, arogant, corrupt, stupid, and very elitist.

If comercials were run that portrayed a group of 30 blacks as uneducated, vulgar, violent, and generally undesirable they would be pulled the first day. Not to mention the out cry from the media.

I think they are hugely insulting, and that this goes beyond a double standard. Using a negative steriotype to gain customers based on their hatred of white people.

Completely tasteless.

Washington Mutual has no class whatsoever.

Was anyone else bothered by this?

I'm interested in how you guys perceive England. Do you think it's all chips and warm beer? Do you think we have a crime problem? If so, what kind of crime do you think is rife here? I already know the relevant numbers, I'm just interested in what you think and what your media says about us.

My husband(we've been seperated for almost 6 yrs now & no chance at reconcile)has been taking our two children ages 7&9 yrs.to his NA meetings and I do not like the idea of that at all.(#1.Do you think Im being over-protective?)While I support his decision to go;I don't like them listening in to people telling their stories(which I am sure tend to go towards R-rated at best)and even feel that some people that attend the meetings should not be in the same enviornment as my children.Recently,I went to deliver an important message to him at his evening meeting and when I pulled up in the parking lot (which is located in an alley behind a church)I see my 2girls sitting in a car alone with another little girl the same age.I sit and observe for as long as I could stand it w/o exploding(he was in another room around 2corners with the door shut-our kids weren't even in his line of sight!)2see if there may be an adult supervising&there was none.#2.Should young kids be influenced by NA meetings?
