Someone who was mentally abused by one parent, raped as a teenager, horribly abused later in life (sexually) by another parent - and the police refused to believe them regarding the sexual abuse.

If someone cannot afford to be anywhere except for the same place as the person who sexually abused them, what can they do?

in the middle of a busy shopping town. My 5 yr old son picked a used hypodermic needle and said 'mummy look what I found' He was holding the needle which was unsheathed. I immediatly took it off him and marched into Boots the chemist where they reluctantly disposed of it.
The more I think about it the more I think the junkie had jacked up in the booth selling the evening telegraph as we walked past it seconds before and I had clocked something fishy but did not think of it until afterwards.
I have never experienced anything like this in my life and was utterly horrified that my son picked it up.
I wan't this looked at and want some advice here, I have alreadt emailed the evening standard
What would other folk do / have done?
Thanks

Because if I had a choice in it I would have said no. Not because of pain, simply because I'd rather have my foreskin.

My mother came here as an illegal immigrant (Don't hate, please.) She is now under the protection of TPS. I was born shortly after, meaning I am a legal U.S citizen. I am not of age to ask for my parent's residency, yet. My grandma, whom I have never met, had suffered a stroke some years ago, she survived but is paralyzed and not well-cared for in my parent's country (Honduras, Central America). My mother has older sisters living here but none willing to help. I know there has to be some manner of legalizing my mother temporaralily so that she may visit and properly care for my grandmother for at least a month without the risk of her not coming back. If that is not an option how about some beneficial companies or hospitals willing to bring my grandma here and supply here with adequete mediacal care. Please explain my mothers rights and how we can make my grandmother's condition work to my advantage, remember I'm young so explain in laymen's terms but I'm not stupid either.

For example, the Earl of Southesk (England) is noted as marrying for a second time and has an issue.
Is that an illigitimate child? The artical also says he has three sons but they could be from his first wife and there be noted..... I guess.

Bums are dangerous. The homeless are mostly druggies and alcoholics...mentally ill are usually obvious...........

dont mess with them, its a no win situation

I feel badly for bums as I would for any human, but..................99 times out of a hundred........if you give them money, it will go for booze or drugs or cigarettes...

lots of places give free meals to the homeless...........

say no to bums and bumettes

although I must say the most entertaining bum I met was an older black gentleman and had an old patched up accordian and he painstaking squeezed out a tune that was really hard to figure out....but once you did, it was marvelous .........

took him 6 minutes to find the right (or similiar) notes, and the wheezing of the leaky bellows was also a charm. life for him glowed that day.........just because..........I laid a 20 on him out of respect....he was tring to EARN his booze money...........by the way it was the theme song for Flintstones....

This is a recent Rumination, which is something like a Deep Thought from Jack Handey, from Anthony Myers:

"The whole gay marriage thing is pretty stupid. Why would anyone ever want to get married to someone who isn't even pregnant?"

It seemed really familiar to me, because I've known quite a few straight and bi people who wouldn't have considered marriage unless they "had to." Hell, there's a whole movie about it out now.

What does it make you think of?

I believe exists. Kevin Davis vulnerable adult aged 29 and suffering from epilepsy, was locked in a shed by three people for four months.
Kevin
was beaten, starved, burned, and his capturers were today sentenced to 29 years between them. They even made a video and
a record of the punishment meted, also of his cries for help.
In the video Kevin was forced to say, he was in the shed volunterarily, and being well
treated. Kevin died after his four months torture by.Amanda Buggas aged 26, kept
diary of torture, David Lehan aged 36 and Scott Andrews aged 27. These are the
demons I believe exists.

I feel that people categorize us and the stereotype is so untrue!!!

Considering the vast majority of African Americans are descendants of Native Americans, and white people why do we continue to refer to African Americans as a race and not a ethinc group. I have met many African Americans who don't even look black. For example if a person's mother is white and their father is white and black the individual is still considered African American which brings me back to my question why is African American considered a race and not a ethnic group, like Hispanics.

one of those "feminine commercials" come on......what's up with that anyway? Showing pads/tampons.....asking "do you have feminine itching".....showing women frolicking through daisies while on her cycle (unrealistic when your cramping).

When is someone going to make a commercial with men and their hygienic problems?...as if they don't have any.
