Evolution (a natural process) does not impart purpose any more than weather (another natural process) imparts purpose to a raindrop. Procreation is not a purpose under evolution any more than water flowing downhill is a purpose.

“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell (noted 20th century philosopher, mathematician and atheist)

Russell is saying that if God doesn't exist, then nothing, nothing, nothing is going to give you purpose.

If we reject God, then we are going to endlessly seek meaningless FEELINGS of purpose. Whatever makes us feel good about ourselves to try to get us through life until we can die.

I've never seen anyone actually believe they have no purpose in living for if we don't get it from God, we invent it and pretend it's real.

There is no 'purpose'. Life simply is. No grand plan, it is not driven by any end goal other than self-perpetuation.

It's a very common misconception that evolution has a point, as if striving for some great target of perfection. This is not the case, it is purely reactive.

I find this a positive thing, we are no pawns in a great game, life is whatever we choose to make of it!

Well the purpose of life in my opinion is the procreation of the species the same as any other animal or plant on the Earth...
I don`t believe there is any other purpose and nothing cosmic or religious going on. It is just the way things have evolved.....

The purpose of life is to know God. I have found that knowing Him brings fulfillment and meaning to my life. We get to know God through a relationship with Jesus. It's like there is a door on our hearts, and Jesus is knocking on it, desiring to be let in (like into our lives). We choose if we want that relationship or not. If we do, we respond by praying and asking for it, because He does not force it on us. (Revelation 3:20) You are so right about not being able to take our cars, clothes, jewelry, etc. with us. Now is the time we have been given to prepare for when we will die, because although our bodies go to the grave, our soul and spirit will spend eternity either with God in heaven or away from Him in hell. It is our choice. God calls us now and desires that we choose Him. When we do this, not only do we get meaning in our lives, as I mentioned earlier, but we get assurance of where we are headed. We don't know as yet all the purposes that will be involved in heaven, but they will be good and exciting I am sure, because God is! For more info please see the links provided below. Whatever human angles they call it, all of those angles must be in subjection to the KNOWLEDGE of God.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5

"casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ; "

The CREATOR is the BEST PERSON to ask for the PURPOSE why he created his creation.

Let's ask and the bible which contains the words of God answers:

Ephesians 2:10

" For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God afore prepared that we should walk in them. "

FOR GOOD WORKS which God afore prepared that WE SHOULD WALK IN THEM.

Ecclesiastes 12:13

" This is the end of the matter; all hath been heard: fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man. "
