Bums are dangerous. The homeless are mostly druggies and alcoholics...mentally ill are usually obvious...........

dont mess with them, its a no win situation

I feel badly for bums as I would for any human, but..................99 times out of a hundred........if you give them money, it will go for booze or drugs or cigarettes...

lots of places give free meals to the homeless...........

say no to bums and bumettes

although I must say the most entertaining bum I met was an older black gentleman and had an old patched up accordian and he painstaking squeezed out a tune that was really hard to figure out....but once you did, it was marvelous .........

took him 6 minutes to find the right (or similiar) notes, and the wheezing of the leaky bellows was also a charm. life for him glowed that day.........just because..........I laid a 20 on him out of respect....he was tring to EARN his booze money...........by the way it was the theme song for Flintstones....

Well I always say but for the grace of God go we...do I respect them? I don't think that's the right word....I think it's a way of life that they could rise above if they really wanted to, but sometimes there is no rising above for some people, so just live and let live. I don't like to see anyone freezing to death in the cold however.

If someone is playing guitar in the subways and is amazingly awesome I will definitely give them a few bucks. Art has always inspired me and I figure here's some poor sap trying to make a living so yeah if I'm impressed I will give something...homeless or not.

Judge not, lest ye be judged. You never know what might happen to you in this life. Sometimes I'd rather have a beer than a meal. Does that make me a bad person? If you think so, who are you to judge me? I've worked from the time I was 14. I'm 51 now.
