Have these and other gadgets actually enslaved us to them, or do we actually live more fulfilling lives than ever before?

I don't have a problem with women working, but its leaving the next generation behind. Children are spending their days alone, babysat by TV or by their teachers. They're learning their morality by watching TV and playing video games. Parents assume that schools are taking care of it, and schools assume the parents are. Both parents come home from work too tired to spend much time with their kids, so the children aren't getting as much personal attention as they would if only one parent was working. What do you think is going to happen to them?

I was sitting at an intersection, waiting to turn, when a little girl (Maybe 7 or 8), ran up to the road, yanked up her dress and started doing... some very adult things to herself. Everything was in full view. She was waving her hips around and yelling at cars. She and the other girl that was there weren't laughing, so it didn't look to me like it was a joke. I picked up the phone and called 911. I drove past later and saw police talking to some adults standing with the little girl. After all, if I thought she was a prostitute, who else would've? Does anyone think I shouldn't have? I feel sort of bad for her, if she was just joking around. Would you have called?

"Affirmitave action does not threaten me, it does however anger me. People should be able to stand on their own merits, it is not fair that a white person with better credentials gets turned down for something because the government says we need a minority to fill this space even if they are not as qualified as the other candidates. "

That was written by someone in this forum...my question is WHY DO THEY ASSUME THAT THE OTHER CANDIDATE IS NOT QUALIFIED, JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE A MINORITY?

That would be like hiring a butcher to be a surgeon just for the sake of following regulations...it makes no sense!

i'm a 17 yr old girl. i have an elder sister and she's married for a yr. i've known my bro-in-law for years now. i know what happened was very wrong...but i couldn't help it. i had gone over to my sister's place...and since she lives in another state, i had stayed for a few days. i've always been very friendly with my bro-in-law. my sister had a night duty that day and we guys were talking the night away. i really didn't want to do it...but one thing led to the other and we had sex. i'm really guilty about it...we swore we'll never let it happen again tho we never told my sister about it. but the guilt always ate me after it. last week my sister came home...she loves me so much...i cried at her shoulders. both my mother and she were perturbed about it and asked me what was so wrong. but i knew it would break my sister's heart. my parents would be very disappointed. i don't want to ruin my sister's marriage. what do i do? the guilt it making me sick...please help me...

I have hear one certain radio station bragg several time, how they play the most music, out of every other radio station that exists. That certain radio station only plays 5 songs in a row, then a million commercials. They bragg about that two.

Then there is another radio station, that is known to play 15 songs in a row, a less commercials. They also bragg how they are the best radio station, but they do play more music.

Why are radio stations, such braggers?

Sunday night a 13 year old girl went into our local shops. She stood in the queue with a pint of milk. A Somalian women pushed in front of her. The girl tapped the woman on the shoulder and pointed out to her that she had pushed in the queue. The woman turned and spat in the girls face.

The girl, who lives a few doors down from the shop ran home crying, her brother (in his mid 20s) went back into the shop just as the woman came out. He challenged the woman and asked her why she felt the need to spit in a childs face. In the meantime the shop owners had called the police. The police came within minutes and went after the man for challenging the woman.

The woman got off free.

What are peoples opinions on this type of thing? i'm actually on the fence as it is hard to question peoples motivations.

im sorry but if you think otherwise you're very culturally unexposed, ignorant, or just in plain denial. ive only met relatively few people who think this way in reality. if the VAST MAJORITY of America is made up of white people...and the minorities make up a smaller amount....and we have a very racist history and present....it only makes sense for the group that primarily runs this country to exploit and oppress the groups that generally have less power. I know this first hand because I am black..IM NOT SAYING THAT WHITE PEOPLE DONT FACE ANY CHALLENGES...many do... "black people are reminded that they're black everyday. the only time white people know that they're white is when they're in a room filled with black people".....anyway I personally feel that if you honestly believe the playing field is level between all minorities and white Americans you're delusional or you just don’t know **** about history or current events. anyway...thoughts?
