I live in Florida and today when I picked up my brother's G.Q July issue, yes guys the one with Jessica Biel on the cover, there was this article by James O'brien. It was about Tom Monaghan. He is the "Domino Pizza millionaire". He is also a co-founder of Ave Maria, a Catholic community. There'll be "no contraception or pronography" or other things that might derail the catholics from their religion in this neighborhood.
What I want to know is what do you think about this? Where is the integration? America's a melting pot right? They need to separate themselves from other's? And if anybody has read it, do they allow Jews, Muslims and other non catholics into their community? What I read so far, it seems to be an ONLY CATHOLICS place.
I have mix feeling about this because I haven't read the whole issue. Its 5 a.m and I'm sleepy. But can you imagine this?

How many people here think that daylight saving time should be abandoned. It doesn't give us more daylight, and those who think that it does need to have their heads checked. If it's summer solstice and nature dictates that the sun rises at 4:30 A.M. on standard time and sets at 7:30 P.M., so be it. I know the argument is that daylight saving time gives us more usable daylight. Why can't I use the daylight when I want? Why does the federal government need to step in and order us to falsify time for what is now eight months out of the year? BTW, the energy saving argument doesn't make sense. Daylight saving effectively creates darker mornings, especially in March and October and it allows working people to return home earlier in the solar day, thereby running air conditioners for a longer period of time. Will Congress ever get the nerve to abandon this practice?

My brother was watching "Guy's Choice" on TV, and basically all they talked about was women with big boobs and butts. Men only think of women as sex toys. It seems like all guys talk about is video games, sports, and "hot" women. Their manly pride is so annoying, too. Also, in careers, men get paid more than women do, although they do the same amount of work.

Guys-
all I have to say is ,"Why do you treat women so absurdly?"

Or given the complement that we are articulate?

Why is this comment only given to black males and no one else. They never make this "complement" to other white people. They say this about Tiki Babar, Obama, OJ etc all the time. Only the black males...They are so "well spoken".

Well what the heck exactly is that supposed to mean, are our expectations THAT low?

Perhaps the natural desire to feel attractive is a subconscience way of trying to be successful. Studies show that more attractive people are generally more successful and treated better in life than those who are less attractive. So overall, looks MUST be pretty important in society. It's sad..but seems true..

Is it just me, or does Yahoo! have a magnet-like attraction to cynical, smart-*** people who are just DYING to be negative and sarcastic toward other peoples questions??? People don't ask questions so that others can ATTEMPT to tear them down or make them feel bad about needing help with their issues. No one's perfect. For future reference: Mr. and Mrs. Smart ***...PLEASE do us all a favor and keep your comments to yourselves.

There's like about 3 or 4 old people over 50 where I work and they went out and bought those wide narrow rectangular tortoise shell color glasses.

I see them and I think, RETARDED OLD FARTS, LOOK OUT!

How can one wave that countries flag if it was a horrible country?
How can you hang onto a culture that didn't yield well-being?
Can you be proud of a country that sucked, so you left?
If I left my country, I'd treat it like an ex-girlfriend (only visiting every 4 years or so and never talking about it!)

I know most will just get on here and say yes or no, but seriously, have you ever considered that your words (thousands of miles away across a pipeline) might just change something in society one day. What if a politician, artist, athlete, entrepreneur or whomever slightly altered their views because of little old you. These people must read something on the Internet so why not your posts?

I swear myself and my neighbors have heard and seen things that kinda freak me, but now my 7 yr old is hearing the same things that I haven't mentioned to her!
Anyway to search on the internet. I figure it would be easier in a house, but hopefully I can find out something for an apartment.
