ITs Midnight and Neighbor with loud music... what now?

My neighbor is Playing REALLY loud music, when you can sing along with the song IN YOUR LIVING ROOM, with the house all closed up its kinda loud, Should i go over there around 1:00am and ask them to turn in down a lil bit? or what? im pregnant and dont want someone to be drunk and take a swing at me... but its driving me nuts now its been like that for HOURS. please help

***UPDATE*** i walked down to find out JUST what neighbor it was, and its a old irish man who was drunk off his rear, But scence he was alone i asked him to turn it down, he said sorry he dident realize it was that loud, he says "sorry i was just getting drunk" i said thats alright have a good night.. thanks for the help guys

Go over there and ask them to turn it down and since you don't know what there reatcion might be take ur cell phone and have 911 ready just in case. Usually people appreciate it when someone comes directly to them instead of calling the police on them first if they don't turn the music down after going over there go ahead and call the police.

easy way to deal with this is call the cops tell them about the loud party and they will come and bust it up. Don't be afraid to do it. I did it and in the end it was a good thing to do for more than one reason, one party ended two one girl had way too much and ended up w/ alocohl poising and was rushed to er in ambulance. So what if the neighbors are mad at you. I am pregnant too and would not like it if someone was not letting me get sleep.

If it's at an apartment, your damn skippy the supervisor should be all over it. Even if it is at a house that has two floors or 3 floors, or whatever. Who ever is renting the property has to asses the problem. If it is just a neighbor then you have to call the police and have them file noise complaints, after a few of them you can call the city on them for a noise complaint. When the city steps in they can fine you, or even evict in worse case scenarios.

Call the cops NOW.....Noise disturbance is not real high on their list unfortunately and it may take until after 1 for them to get there.

do NOT go over there! did you hear of the director of the movie "the waitress"? she never finished the movie because she went to her neighbor to politely ask him to turn down his music- he killed her in cold blood.

that's what the police are for. call them and let them do their job. and don't be afraid of retaliation- there's no way of them finding out unless you tell someone.
