Were you born there and just never left the area? Did you move because of a job or family or a friend? And if you moved to another state or country, what made you decide to go through with it? Do you like it better than your hometown?

If someone says something derogatory about a black person, a latino, an asian, etc., then they are called a 'racist'. But why is there an actual term for someone who says derogatory things about Jews: anti-semite? If I say something bad about a Jew, why can't I just be called a racist? Are the Jews so special that they get their own word?

I'm studying Java. and im not in college yet. I wanna create a program for teens, I see these kids on myspace and it got me thinking that i should make a program, just like myspace, it's gunna be a chatroom, instant messaging, profiles and blogs, and those profiles will determine if that person has myspace. You can look at myspace profiles without connecting to the internet.
This Software should also come with a P2P file sharing software like Kazaa and Limewire. Where they can download music and feature length movies free. Dial-up users will download all this stuff fast with no problems at all.

But, I think teens are expected to know the guidelines of internet safety, and I will not take responsibility if that child gets abducted and killed. and the age limit should be 14, it's the law.(i think)

What do you guys think? What are your suggestions? Is this program even possible to make with Java?

Also please star this question! I need alot of ideas!

I mostly hate myself... a recovering suicidal adolescent.

And people around me aren't supporting me emotionally.

I know they need support, too.

But I don't have a damn friend in real life.

I don't even want to make online friends because they cant be trusted.

I stare at a square screen, listen to people singing on the stereo, people who don't even care about me. And to think that they're singing for people like me while they go drink their asses drunk.

So can you answer my question?

p.s.: didn't mean to rant

Recently we've been averaging around 2,000 posts/month, but we've broken the 3,000 post mark a few times. We are represented by many different professional industries, including Advertising, Internet Technology, Law, Education, Engineering, and Death Care. When we aren't in the midst of new business conceptualization discussions, we use the group as a diversion from our workdays, discussing anything from Sports and Leisure to Arts and Entertainment to Food and Drink. Political Talk has fallen off quite a bit, as it infuriates more than it alleviates.

I don't HATE gay people (I have gay friends) and I would never treat someone like crap just because they are gay. I think people's business is their business. However, I do believe it is wrong and I think that society is slowly trying to push it on people like me. I'm scared that when my son is grown anyone who does not agree with it will be seen as a bigot or like a racist. Is it wrong to disagree with it and to pass my belief system on to my child?

Can you suggest some methods by which our younger generation and children can learn the need of thinking about their responsibility to wards society and nature. And think about what they are returning in lieu of what they are getting – the real sprit of Gandhi-ism and path to peaceful societies and world. Happiness is the out come of sharing caring and recognition.
The real sprit of Gandhi-ism in my opinion lies in the ability of the people understanding that we can’t get something out of nothing. As nature is self-balancing and if this balance is disturbed by human beings out of their greed we have calamities. Now we are taking of ecology, responsibility of rich nations towards poor nations etc. All these things speak of unbalances we have created. That is why Gandhi said we have everything to meet needs of every one but not greed. Uplifting rural poor, village development, back to villages all this fall in the category of trying to find a balance between need and greed.

Since the Gap between the "upper class" and "lower class" or should I say the "Haves"and the "Have Nots" is widening and Middle-class America is disappearing, "Who is going to carry the Load?" lets face it Middle-class America has footed the bill for so long. Upper class don't pay taxes and Lower class can't pay much towards the tax base. When the Middle-class
finally is gone. WHAT THEN? Oh Yes, thanks Janet B, She planted the seed.
