I think that you are trying to ask if there are cultures that are so different that the people of these cultures shouldn't marry.

I guess that depends on the person, however, when you marry someone you also marry their family whether you like it or not and I know that it should not matter but unfortuanatley, others can interfere in your marriage so much that they can cause you to divorce especially if one of the partners won't stand up to their family in defense of the other.

It is something to consider before you get married, have children and then get divorced because you can't take it. If one person is from a more liberal culture and the other is from a more conservative culture no matter if both parties are liberal or not, you had better think about it real hard. Especially if you have realtives.

I am not really sure that there is a rule out there that says if you are from here don't get married to this certain nationality.

It is a challenge to keep your traditions when you marry a person of a different background .

It is hard enough with ppl of the same religion, race, country, etc. So it's going to take time and effort regardless.

I think that if you can make a relationship work around the cultural boundaries, it's a good thing. There are maybe not different cultures that would have a hard time, but certain people within them would. For example, I would not marry a first generation Islam, or an Islam who is not American, because I am an American woman, not necessarily feminist, but I do think for myself, and in that culture, women are a good deal lower in status than men. However, I don't see a problem marrying someone from an Islamic family.

In my world, everythings converge in this New Global Economies including mixed marriages, nationalities, traditions, comparative religions and for those who are inclined to preserve their heritage may find that it is only history that causes to allow themselves to be part of it instead of sharing with other people of the world. Eventually, they will become minority in each individual country.

If you meet someone you like, you date them.

If you really like them, you might move in with them.

And if you are both sure you are happy, you might marry each other.

I fail to understand the ''preserve the roots or protect your religion'' bit.

This is now a global world, with people in power who are from different places to the countries they represent.

At a grass roots level, you should be happy.

If that means looking outside your normal group, then good for you.

People should be with the person they want, and treasure both nationalities equally. If nationality is important to a person and the other partner doesn't respect that then it may be time to look for another partner.

The races should be kept separated in marriage because of the destruction of the species. Once a race has vanished by inter breeding--they become extinct, never to return. Love the races. Breed with your own.

I sincerely believe that Romulans and Vulcuns SHOULD NOT intermarry anymore.

I mean they are separate for goodness sake!

And Terrans and Klingons...well that is just wrong!

And those dang Martians...leave folk from Saturn alone! Don't they know they are forbidden fruit!

Ugh!
