Can you suggest some methods by which our younger generation and children can learn the need of thinking about their responsibility to wards society and nature. And think about what they are returning in lieu of what they are getting – the real sprit of Gandhi-ism and path to peaceful societies and world. Happiness is the out come of sharing caring and recognition.
The real sprit of Gandhi-ism in my opinion lies in the ability of the people understanding that we can’t get something out of nothing. As nature is self-balancing and if this balance is disturbed by human beings out of their greed we have calamities. Now we are taking of ecology, responsibility of rich nations towards poor nations etc. All these things speak of unbalances we have created. That is why Gandhi said we have everything to meet needs of every one but not greed. Uplifting rural poor, village development, back to villages all this fall in the category of trying to find a balance between need and greed.

Thank you for this question. I'm sorry that I don't have any quick and easy answer.
My background is Native American ( Apache ). Traditionally, everyone was taught from the earliest years of their lives that each of us is responsible for ourselves, and for all others. Each person understood where they came from and what their function and purpose was within the community. Not carrying out your part was met with serious repercussion. That sense of belonging and personal commitment dosn't seem to show up much any more, and I see that fact as being the source of a good many problems today, not just in America, but worldwide.

I think children learn from who their parents are, rather than from what their parents tell them. These days, the people with the least understanding of responsibility are those who are having the most children. I don't know how this cycle can be broken, and I'm afraid I am rather negative about the propects of a new generation of people who give back to society.
