Since the Gap between the "upper class" and "lower class" or should I say the "Haves"and the "Have Nots" is widening and Middle-class America is disappearing, "Who is going to carry the Load?" lets face it Middle-class America has footed the bill for so long. Upper class don't pay taxes and Lower class can't pay much towards the tax base. When the Middle-class
finally is gone. WHAT THEN? Oh Yes, thanks Janet B, She planted the seed.

Interesting but an hypothetical question.Middle class may expand or shrink but never vanish. There would always be a few from 'Have Nots' who shall work their way up and join middle class, since all such people can not make a straight Quantum Jump from rags to riches.More over, the economical parameters to define people such as below poverty line, poor, middle and rich classes keep shifting from time to time due to socioeconomic reasons as well as the conceptual development in social sciences and Economics. Lastly, the universal truth[not religious]stating that two extreme ends [say, poor and rich]can not exist simultaneously without space between them[the middle or middle class]So,please do not worry about the 'LOAD'.America is an old democratic country, has driven through many upheavals and problems and will continue to do so successfully in the future. No, I am not an American but an admirer of that country and more of. it's citizens. This world has no future without democracy or something equivalent to it and USA has a historical responsibility to keep proving to the rest of the world where the practice has yet to reach.Yes,thanks to Janet B.and more of such people who may appear from time to time to help HUMANITY.

Why thank you SEA BAT, it is good to know I give inspiration to someone. Unfortunately I think the system as we know it is doomed to crash and burn, (Great song by the way by 'Savage Garden' an Australian group) could this be what has been named Armageddon, the end of the system as we know it....
I would suggest we have exchange leaders, but I prefer the evil I already know, John Howard, who ironically there are more than one of, the other one is an Australian actor, lol. Cheers Bello.

Soul flower 2: Depression I do not like the sound of, as generally a depression is only stopped by a world war it seems.

And, I have not read all of Marx, and I am most definitely NOT a communist, but Marx's original theory is actually quite good, it is a shame Lennin and the likes took his theory and bastrdised it for their own values, thus, not removing the do haves, and causing the have nots to have even less.

The logical conclusion of this is the split of those in the middle with the majority going to the have nots category as falling taxes result in falling service quality for the poor. The rich won't care - just ask for their taxes to be reduced as they are not using this poor service, so why should they pay. You then reduce taxes, the split widens and it gets worse.

Now look to your history books to see what comes next.

It begins with R.

I am one of the few wealthy people I know who pays my full share.

I remember poverty, although I grew up upper middle classed.

It will take another depression or some other sort of huge economic failure, where the upper class feels the heat, before changes are made
