I have hear one certain radio station bragg several time, how they play the most music, out of every other radio station that exists. That certain radio station only plays 5 songs in a row, then a million commercials. They bragg about that two.

Then there is another radio station, that is known to play 15 songs in a row, a less commercials. They also bragg how they are the best radio station, but they do play more music.

Why are radio stations, such braggers?

If you don't like Phil Collins songs maybe you shouldn't listen to top 40 radio. What stations do they play your songs on? When you have multiple hits, albums, concert tours with a rock group or as a solo artist, then you can come back to Y/A & talk about your success but in the mean time, change the station & quit bellyaching over minor BS

LOL

They all play the same songs too. It's not like a classic rock station in one city is going to be playing different classic rock than any other city.

It's all marketing - trying to sell your product by making it appear to be better than the other guy's.

My I recommend satellite radio - I've had XM for about 5 years and would give up cable TV before I gave up my XM.

Since they all play the same music they can't claim to play better music..all that is left is to claim they play more of it.

They think that it is a "selling point". If they play more music, they believe that more people will listen.

They want to gain more listeners, and that's a big draw: less talk, more music.

i suppose that it is because if radio stations play more, more people will advertise there
