A group of friends and I had a discussion this weekend about how history is often written by the winners of war. I am more interested in learning about personal historical accounts which often change my view of "textbook" history. Do you think that with enough research, books, movies, etc... history can be redefined in the minds of people today?

Its interesting in the world right now with the war in iraq raging that there are more people killed in the usa from guns than in one year from that war. The greed and selfishness of todays generation crosses evert strata of society. We think that material pocessions are going to fill that void.We assume drugs and alcohol will fill that void. Maybe if people started giving a crap about other people than just worrying about themselves and the almighty dollar the society might actually improve[but i doubt it]

Can we just go one day wihout some idiot throwing their beliefs on others. What about a day of peace where we don't have to see George Bush on TV (not doing his job of course) or any of his political party, or someone tlking about another racist matter. It's not going to change it's only going to get worse, so please one day without hearing it.

The "street crime" are thriving in China now, they happened even in daytime. Sometimes the criminals snatched away the purse of a woman and run away in a autobike, sometimes they hurted the party severely for the money. When this happened, people around tended to ignore it and couldn't do anything. Because the criminals were probably armed with a sharp knife and other weapons. There are many things happened like when someone was trying to stop the crime, he/she was brought down first. People are very scared now.
I love my Country where i am living although she is not perfect, but i do love her. I love peace and prosperity and am aganist any knid of violence, but i can't understand why people can't live in peace? Why are they happening?
