And... In light of the Virginia Tech massacare, I pondered what would happen if I were there. I am a gun owner, and I do not always carry them on me but if I was and I shot and killed the shooter durring his rampage. Would I deserve to be brought up on murder charges or would I be labeled a hero?

in the past years there have been 47 school shootings since Jan 1996, 43 of those have been in the last ten years. in the last five years there has been 15 school shootings, 5 of those happened last year. this year we have had 2. What is causing this out break of violence? is it the fault of the Parents? the Teachers? the Peers of the Shooter? is it caused by stress that is the fault of the School? the Government? what is the underlying cause of these Stand-Alone Complexes?

I recieved this email a little while ago from a friend....

Dear Friends,

I am writing to ask that you keep Rick Marks, a life long friend of mine, his wife Emily and especially their son Lawrence in your prayers. Emily was expecting twin boys in early August, but one of her amniotic sacs ruptured at only 21 weeks causing a premature deliver of their son Charles 6 days later. Charles fought hard for 7 hours, but died later that day. Their other son did not deliver for another 6 days and was born on April 4th at only 23 weeks, weighing 1 lb 3 oz. Lawrence is in the NICU at Baptist South here in Montgomery. His condition continues to improve, but is very fragile. Please visit their website for updates on his condition.

..why are we all mourning over the losses? I mean, women who have abortions outrank his killings by millions. And all I hear is, 'its the woman's choice to abort the fetus' yet that fetus is just as human as all the students murdered yesterday...are you going to start denying those students were ever a fetus themselves once?

well my co worker whom use to work with me at a very nice jazz club as a waitress left to work at a strip bar as a waitress she makes like double the money us to make and she wants me to work there. is there a difference in working at a strip club?

Have to clear backdated leave, for a number of reasons.
I now have 2 weeks to kill.

And I have no idea how to spend it.
I pretty much got everything I wanted to do done on weekends.

I'm tired of travelling too, so vacations are out.

How would YOU spend 2 weeks?
Assuming you lived in a major city and weren't willing to travel.

if the shooting yesterday had any thing to do with the same BS there is in high school then i am not going to even bother finishing my transfer degree. i hated high school, and the only reasion i did not go on a shooting spree is because i was told by teachers and my parents that college students were more mature and the only hard time i would have is keeping up with my classes.

so when i finish my 2 years here at my community college, will i have to deal with the same BS during my next 2 years at OSU as i had to deal with in high school?

Never could understand the people who think this was the answer to their problems. What goes on in their heads that they come to such a horrible conclusion, and shoot down and kill innocent people!! How sad my heart and prayers most definately go out to those people and their friends and families.

There is definatley gun crime here in Great Britain, but I think that if any British person could go into a shop and buy a gun then the crime would be a lot higher. I know in certain estates in Britain it is easy to purchase a gun, but that is the minority of places not the whole island!

Why dont they just have a ban in America where you cant go into a shop and buy any gun? Surley there si NO need for anybody to own a gun? A gun has only 1 purpase, and that is to destroy something. Its bizarre to me that there is a law which allows americans to be able to buy something that serves only to hurt or kill.

Do you beileve that the shooting that took place April 16th will stir up tension between the Koreans?

There was the DC Sniper 5 years ago who was Arfican American
And of course September 11 which was Middle eastern terrorists
Both of those incidents made people more aware of those 2 ethnicities

Suppose someone burst into your family reunion and started shooting. Would you run or would run toward the threat and attack despite being "outgunned." The more important question is why do people not have anymore connection to others? The boy was a psychopath. We can do little at this point to eliminate that condition. I cannot imagine living with the doubt that I might have been able to save at least a few more if I had charged the threat instead of fled to save my own life. I am not calling anyone a coward, but I am saying that a paradigm shift is needed. Why don't more people believe that it is better to die trying than to live with the outcome of not doing anything? 9/11 should have taught us that without a doubt it is better to try. A 9mm pistol and a 22 cal should not have produced this bodycount.
Better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.

THIS IS THE DEAL, I OWN A T-SHIRT AIRBRUSHING STORE INSIDE ONE OF THE BIGGEST FLEA MARKETS IN MICHIGAN AND THE LADY THAT I USED TO BUY MY BLANK SHIRTS FROM HAD A TRAGEDY IN HER FAMILY, HER FATHER DIED SO SHE HAD TO SELL OUT AND MOVE TO ATLANTA TO TAKE CARE OF HER MOTHER,SHE SOLD ALL OF HER STOCK TO ME AT A SENSATIONAL PRICE, WE WROTE UP A CONTRACT STATING THAT SHE WILL STOP BY THE FLEA MARKET FOR THE NEXT 3 SUNDAYS AND PICK UP ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS AND AFTER THAT I'M SUPPOSE TO SEND ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS A WEEK TO HER NEW ADDRESS IN ATLANTA UNTIL PAID IN FULL! WELL THE PROBLEM IS..SHE HAS NEVER SHOWED UP FOR ANY OF THE PAYMENTS AND ALL OF THE PHONE #'S ARE DISCONNECTED, I WROTE A LETTER TO THE ADDRESS AND IT CAME BACK! I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO!
