I see blacks lining up in convenience stores & the supermarket buying hand fulls of tickets, some spending up to $80 at a time. Don't they realize the odds of winning are about the same as being struck by a meteorite?

well now this doctor was just killed in auto-accident- Some co- workers are saying she got what she deserved, because of her discriminating against pregnant teens and some more horrible things we believe she's done-can't prove yet- Do you think that people sometimes do get what they deserve when they have been horrifying jerks, like she was?

I am taking an english class where the teacher feels the need to make his students feel really stupid. I procrastinated in one of our assignments and obviously didn't do what he asked for. He was reading out loud to the class which ones he liked and humiliated the ones he disliked. He kept it anonymous but of course I knew he was reading mine. Now I don't think Im a moron, and he completely belittled me and made me feel like a worthless piece of ****. I understand that it wasn't what he was looking for and he didn't like it but I don't think it was necessary to tell the whole class so they can laugh at me.

My question is: should i confront him, should I complain to the english department, or should I just keep quiet?

I'm worried that if I complain to the dept, they wont keep it anonymous and he'll secretly fail me. but if I keep quiet, then he'll continue to do this.

my other questions is: should I drop the class or should I just keep going and put up with his crap?

ok this whole thing started in the 2nd month of 9th grade when for no reason one of my friends jumped me on my way to to school then he got sent to a diff school because of it...down the street..yay for the philly school district...so anyway he found out where i live a month ago now mind you its been 1-2yrs since he jumped me now hes trying again and once again i dont know why and ill avoid it if possible example walk around his block on my way to school adding 4 min on the walk but i wont run if they see me but my problem is that he keeps walking by my house with 8 of his friends *is flattered they think they need 8* and i figure if they dont stop soon im gonna go out there but if i go out there im going armed with a knife and mind you im very good with knives and sharp metel objects so i figured i come here and find a peacefull way to settle it (dont say call cops) even tho every1 asked me if i wanted to jump him back i said no to 13 people even ones i didnt know..what should i do?

I recently answered a question regarding a chap who'd found someone toturing a cat. He saved the cat and then dealt out a little locally administered justice.

I can't condone his vigilantism and I thought I'd put my side of the argument over very well - and I've received a massive 13 (and counting) thumbs down.

Now, I'm not upset at this, and I'm not having a whine - I've just never seen so many of the things (not even for some really sick answers).

For Karana, there were two others of probably equal importance: weapons and an end to loneliness. Karana desperately needed connection with other living beings. How did we allow our earth to come to this state? And only now do we try saving it, when it's much too late. What drove us to become so selfish and greedy? Surely "God" could of foreseen this if he did create the world. Or have humans evolved into something with so much power and a lot of evil that it was a big shock, where we have no control over ourselves. If you think about all the wrong that goes on in the world, or all the selifsh decisions we do and "money-saving" items we use. The list just goes on forever, like I'll take vaseline as an example, it contains petrolium which is petrol yet the manufactures use it because it saves money. Seems they are more interested in the money than how that could affect our lives. Many diseases have evolved through our faults, they just keep coming because it's thing like that, that can lead to all kind of events. Cancer never used to be an issue, now many people dread it and fear it.

actually i don't think so comparing it to other places nominated as well....i know it has a great meaning but being wonder is about having tht great ancient historical back ground...i guess evil tower wz'nt supposed to be nominated either...anyone who can tell me where the wonder iz?..anywayz anyone hated the question just don't answer it coz it's only my personal opinion..
