I see blacks lining up in convenience stores & the supermarket buying hand fulls of tickets, some spending up to $80 at a time. Don't they realize the odds of winning are about the same as being struck by a meteorite?

That's a racist statement. Plenty of Latino and Chinese friends I know here in California do the same. The largest California lottery purchase that did not wind up with enough win $ to offset the cost of the tix was a $50,000 purchase from a WHITE man in Arizona who took out a mortgage on his house to do so.

They do that because even though it's a small chance they will win, they dream about living life to the fulest with a lot of money (I personally don't go for that lifestyle because money is the root of all evil, and by the way it's not just black people, it's anyone who doesn't have as much money that they want.)

In gambling, the chance to win is the reward, not the actuall winning. In America, many minorities feel that they are not given the opportunities of the majority. Buying a chance to win is, for them, like buying hope.
This is not limited to blacks. It is more of an economic thing than a racial one.

Actually blacks invented the lottery but like every thing else it be stolen to. So now we be tryin to win our money back.

i guess they feel if that if they buy multiple tickets
their odds are astronimical divided by how many tickets they bought
