in the UK the word p*ss or p*ssed is a swear word and usually is beeped out on uk tv, obviously with its meaning to wee as well, or a term for how drunk you are, lol but in america the term means something else, in Desperate Housewives Bree Van der camp or whatever her new name is said she was 'p*ssed' at her neighbour>>>>so what does that term mean

Also in the UK the term w*nker is a phrase to masterbate or an abusive gesture but in america its a surname!!???

Fanny is a bottom or Butt where as in the uk a fanny is the front bottom and a butt is a cigarette end....

arrgghh - what else is there that has an opposite meaning - other than fag (which here means a cigarette not homosexual) lol

I read a question on here just recently that made me think about this issue. I remember having to say it when I was in school, and I'm assuming it's still done today. What is your opinion? Thanks in advance for your answers.

I have this problem where when I think deeply about anything, especially when I'm walking, when people see me they think I look angry or upset. I could be thinking about what I want to order for lunch yet people will still think I'm upset about something. What does one have to do to appear nice and kind to people even when in deep thought?

I ask because it's making people think negatively of me. People have actually told me they thought I was an angry person before they ever even spoke to me. I even smile a lot more now because of it, but when thinking about something or trying to figure out something, my face naturally goes from smile to default. Sadly, I see that my default face looks like an evil face, so it seems to other people. Since we live in a world were people judge your entire being on your looks, I need to know how to fix this.

It's really not fair since some other people who look happy even at default don't have to change in order to be seen positively.

I will start by saying I'm NOT RACIST, don't want answers from the racist folk or the people who feel done by because their a different culture. BUT...How ironic is this... My ex boyfriend is Greek, who is a manager in a food company who is employing lots of Polish people, my ex greek boyfriend hates this. My neighbour, whom i translate his junk mail ever morning is from Iran. My Greek friend also hates this neighbour of mine because he's Iranian, This Irainian neaigbour brought a form round for me to help fill in about where his son would go to his next school, The school i told him he would go to he replied " but lots of pakies" don't want my son to go there. AM I THE RACIST OR DO I SERIOUSLY HAVE A RIGHT TO FEEL A BIT WRONGED

I have many reaationships with different cultures who clearly hate each other. WILL THIS GET WORSE, ARE WE GOING TO HAVE EASTERN WORLD FIGHTS IN OUR ONCE AS WE KNEW IT WESTERN WORLD.

Im not that old, 33, but it seems like the kids get 300.00 ipods and psp's and their parents apologize for not being able to get them more... and it seems like the kids are never the ones that are looked at when there is a problem... example, bad student = the school not doing thier job, I don't agree with this mentality.. I know this will raise a few brows, but i'm curious what others think

I was 12 years old.I lived on a street with my mum and sister. We went shopping one night, and came back at around 9pm on a winters night. My mum was very disciplined with locking the doors and windows as she was ex-forces. She was locked windows and doors before we left. When we had got bk ( we lived on a small terraced street, very friendly bk then and knew most people on the street), all the doors and windows were open and every light was on ( inc the cellar).Nothing was missin or disturbed in the house and no locks broken, and none of the neighbours/ friends heard anything. In that same house the bathroom door used to open every nite- originally it had one of them ball type locks , then we put a proper lock on outside, one that slides across and down, and guess what , it opened one night! Im getting shivers down my bk writing this! Its true. HAve you had any similar experiences?

African Americans are the most intellectually inferior race, caucasians generally lack rythm and cannot dance (as well as African Americans and Latin Americans), or that Asians are extremely proficient at math and are the less well-endowed. Note: These are stereotypes that I have heard and that I find absurd;most stereotypes are perpetuated by ignorant, intolerant people. My question is pertaining to the which of these generalizations have you heard the most. Please no derogatory messages. Thank you.
