because theres a conspiracy to keep the black man down! come on man, be serious. Why's Christmas in december? Its the last month of the year, does that mean that christmas is the least important holiday? NO. Geez, just get over it.
And how are YOU entitled to anything besides what everyone else is this country is entitled to. Saying that is as racist as someone saying that 'yall' dont deserve a month. You have never been a slave, nor have you been denied a job because you are black (affirmative action). I am a mexican, and we have problems too, but we do not carry a chip around on our shoulder like you apparently do.
GET OVER IT.

Dr. Carter G. Woodson, an African-American scholar, chose one week in February to celebrate black contributions to America since black scholars, inventors, and scientists were not being recognized by mainstream America. It started as a week in February and eventually became a month. February was chosen because it was the birthday month of Frederick Douglas. Some also say he chose it because it's Lincoln's birth month, but anyone who knows history knows he did nothing for black people. Anyway, that's why BHM is celebrated in February.

It quite relies upon on the place you're interior the U.S., over right here in San Diego they publicize incredibly much each and all the nationwide background months for Hispanic-human beings, African-human beings, Asian-human beings, close by-human beings, Italian-human beings, etc. in spite of the indisputable fact that, in case you have been in Kansas they won't make it a large deal because of the fact there is not any longer a large inhabitants of those nationalities there. when you consider which you're in Germany perfect now, they in all probability are not very vast on different histories different than their very very own. additionally, i've got faith BHM replaced into the 1st good celebrated month so it rather is plenty conventional.

is there an Asian history month? Is there a Polish history month?
There are many cultures here, and many that were brought here as indentured servants(slaves) from other countries, like the Chinese, they were brought here to work the railroads, a dime a dozen, no one cared if they died. I don't see them asking for a month.
While I know slavery happened, and it was wrong, but, um, what about a month for the Native Indians? They were enslaved, and then forced to move from thier homes! This was thier home FIRST.

You never know how bless you are untill you lose the right to go into a place

You're not even entitled to one day, let alone one month. March should be 'Victims of black crime' month.
