Well, aside from all the references to Greek/Roman society and culture in, say, art and literature (300, anyone?), there's:
Democracy (Greek)
A bunch of words in our language (many Greek and Latin words in medicine, law, and science)
Medical advances (ethics from Greece--Hippocrates and others, dissection and surgery from Rome
The art, philosophy, and culture itself, not just the references to it
That should get you going in the right direction.
