I mean, race, gender, and religion aside, it seems like people are becoming more and more ill-mannered and rude with each passing year. People yell at each other for no reason. People seem to have little self respect anymore. Speech patterns are degenerating alarmingly. Friendliness often seems so superficial. No one is willing to compromise on anything.

Is this occurring just in America, or in other countries as well? What is the cause of this? And what can we do to once again become a dignified people?

it's supposed to be a machine that teachers used a while ago where they cranked it and made numerous copies of papers. The students were supposed to have immediately loved it when the papers were still wet b/c they smelled really good. Can you describe this smell?
