I get the same high nowadays when I go to Goodwill....that I used to get when I went to the mall.
I need everything! Furniture, clothes, you name it!!

Go dumpster diving! If you live near a college, after the semester is over you can get a lot of free stuff (the spoiled brats throw away new stuff too). This is especially good if you live near a real expensive college or Ivy League one, cuz they tend to throw away really good stuff! Or, go pick thru peoples stuff on garbage night. You can get some furniture that way, just make sure it doesn't have bugs in it (take them outside and spray them with raid).

sounds like you play poor defense and poor offense when it comes to money. you don't need those items that you say you need. its better to be rich than to 'look rich.'
here is a good budget for you:
when you get paid put at least 5-25% of you money into a savings/money market account.
eat top Ramon noodles everyday (i mean it) which are about 10-25 cents each. this is a very good defense if you are really poor.
don't buy clothes unless your clothes are destroyed by a evil green monster! you only need three pairs.
I'm sure that you can add to this list. make a plan to save money for whatever your goal is. remember not to call yourself 'poor' because a bad mindset like that will make you poor forever. just say that you are on your way to becoming rich or something like that. you can truly do anything if you set your mind to it. just keep moving toward your goals. It must be difficult to be poor, yet have access to a computer? I wouldn't know. My wife and I are below middle class but barely above the poverty line and have to rent a house. However all of our neighbors got theirs from the governmentfor pennies on the dollar. We qualified financially for one, but when they saw we were white, we went to the back of the line! To bad I am not black or an illegal from Guatemala, they would have given me money, a home, insurance and a car, just like the guy down the street! Fortunately, they did do this to us though. Because we just got enough money put away to get a down payment on a house and i don't have to go on the internet and ask people how to get a handout!

I got some $$ doing on line surveys. If there are garage sales in your area, a lot of them give things away.
