"If you say I do not know, you have already obtained one half of the knowledge". I have heard this saying in a culture. Is it rue or false and please, justify your answer?

It is absolutely true....The first rule of gaining knowledge is to seek it. We, none of us, is born with knowledge...we are educated from birth. By admitting that we do not know, we are proving wise, and implicitly asking for knowledge to be imparted to us.
I love this one...my Memere said it all my life..."To give an answer without knowledge is to prove yourself ignorant. To ask for knowledge before giving an answer is to prove yourself wise."
