Why do so many Asian's still use chop sticks?

I understand tradition and all, but come on, the spoon and fork are clearly major upgrades, not to mention the knife. After all, they use plows in the fields...its not as if they are plowing with two pool cues attached to the tractor! What gives?

Considering the fact that Miss USA's lapse of judgment was while she was the reigning Miss USA?

Probably asked lots before but..NEW YORK or LONDON for my ideal lifestyle?

I am thinking of doing my studies in one of these cities.
I have been to London before and quite enjoyed it, but have yet to visit New YOrk (and dying to!!)

There are good schools in both cities but the sort of living is also a main factor of which city i choose.

Most crucial factor = AN EXCELLENT TRANSPORT SYSTEM! Because I really don't like driving!!!

I like apartment based living, plently of walking space (like parks..lakes etc), ultimate convenience (stations..lots of taxis..nearby shops!), and a bustling night life with concerts (mainly classical music, plays, ballets, operas etc), museums!

and plenty of weekend activities...

Any thoughts?

what do we do about sex trafficking?

i want you all to get involved. people are selling kidnapped girls in america, like your daughters, sisters, or YOU, as sexual slaves. tell me your ideas on how to stop it. this is my cause watch the movie human trafficking, at your local video store, and you will want to get involved too. write to your senators. its happening in america! girl goes out, gets kidnapped and drugged, wakes up and is told, you must have sex for money. please tell me your ideas on how to stop this problem, and get involved!

If you had a terminal disease, would you...?

Would you rather know about it, or would you rather not know about it?
Keep in mind, this disease, whatever it might be, is going to kill you, no hope for a cure, no hope for any recovery.
This might be a little strange, but I think I would rather not know about it, having my own mortality hanging over me like that would be too much of a burden, possibly making my last days miserable.What's your opinion?

Poverty is:
A. Completely the fault of the individual

Why are people so cruel to animals!!!!??

PEOPLE THEY FEEL THE SAME WAY WE DO! HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE SKINNED ALIVE OR BEATEN JUST FOR FUN! i'v read lot's of things on the KFC cruelty and other cases and there are some seriously fu**ing heartless people out there who have the fu**ing nereve to say "its just an animal who cares" and iv heard some *****les say that its funny!! Why do they call us colored???

Some people of other ethnicities call black people "colored."Why is that.When you look in a box of crayons there is a black crayon and there is a WHITE and TAN crayon too.We are all colores.It doesn't matter what race you are your skin is some type of color.Why are we the only ones that are considered a "color?"

How can you justify invading my personal space?

Im sick of having jehovah witness knocking my door . I also sick of having religious paraphnalia put through my door . I made a concious decision not to be brianwashed into beliveing something that I and others simply can Justify .
I dont ever try to convince people to join the atheiests of this world nor do I ever try to be nasty to any people I know whom are religious . So why is it that these things keep coming through my door (UNWANTED) and how dare Jehovah Witnesses knock my door who gives you the right . If I wanted any religious Information for any reason then I would take myself to a place where I can get it . This cant be legal to knock my door unsolicited .

Why does my coleague keep giving me pencils?

I'm asking this just to check this isn't some odd tv reference or somesuch. But a collegaue of mine has, for the last eight days, been giving me very nice pencils and saying 'enjoy your pencil'. This isn't a come on from him, we're both happily straight men. But why is he doing this? I asked him, and he simply said tha I looked as though I was in dire need to daily pencil replenishment.
