British sense of humour can be quite dark and dry. The Germans seem to need more obvious humour

I was once in holiday in Majorca and visited one end of the island where there were few brits and mostly germans. I sat my wife down at a table in a cafe but there was only one chair so I politely asked a german woman nearby if she could spare one of the four vacant chairs at her table (In english and german). She just nodded yes.
After about five minutes I was confronted by a 6ft + blond stormtrooper who obviously had no manners or humour and although I couldn't understand everything he said, He wasn't happy!! I fronted him out and went on the attack after trying to make a joke of it.
Punch line is that the hundreds of germans there did not smile and I got the impression they thought brits were cockroaches so the answer is that germans have little humour in them. They are mostly boring and with a tendency towards violence. However I do know germans who are OK in GB so they can change!

Wow - that's a tough one.

The German's are famous for being mad, laugh-a-minute comedy Guru's. Think of all their stand-up comic's and the side-splitting humour in German car adverts.

I worked in Germany for 7 months and those crazy fools and I hit the bars for one night in the 7 months. One guy didn't go home until he'd finished his drink - It was 7 O'clock by then.

I can't answer it. It's like asking whether Britain is wealthier than Zimbabwe.

every country's humour is different. Different strokes for different folks. The germans do have a very good sense of humour, there's alot of word play and less of the slapstick. I wouldnt say ours is better than theirs, it's just different.

Of course we have more sense of humour than the Germans. They are so serious all the time. My mate has a german girlfriend and jokes or puns are wasted on her. We Brits can be so dry and that's what makes us fun to be with.
