If we count our years from the time that Jesus was born being Dec. 25th (Christmas), then why dont we start the New Year the day after rather than the 31st... like only have 25 days in December rather than 31. If you know please tell me.

I find out what people do for a living and try to make *nice* small talk about it.
I start talking about their jobs and ask questions about topics in their job "lingo." Some people get uptight and tell me things like your not a ______ so you wouldn't understand if I told you about it.
Which in fact I just might know a little about the subject to keep the convo a float. Then they get very condescending and uptight at times and start talking down to me. Any idea's to why this happens? Maybe it is because certain people are insecure?!?!?

why do so many people put so many racist questions on here ?
i just can't understand why they would want to offend so many people, do they do it just to see how bad a reation they get ?
i am white but to me skin colour isn't an issue and i really can't understand why some people make such an issue of it.

Do they? Should they earn more than our teachers who are responsable for teaching this country's children, or police officers, firefighters, and doctors, who all save lives. I don't think so that's why it's so much disparity in this country because will compensate the jobs and people who really don't need that much money instead of the jobs and people who do.

I need to know if there are any rules or guidelines on deciding on a quinceañera court of honor. Such as: Do they have to be a certain age, do they have to be single or married....because I have some cousins that are like, 20 years old and I am not sure if it is normal to have someone that old on the Court of Honor. I have been with my boyfriend for several years, and have always been faithful (although he cheated on me once a year or so ago by having a one night stand).

Recently I was chatting to a guy online, I had no intention to flirt or anything like that, just have a friendly chat, but within a day we were completely intensely smitten (I know how weird and stupid that sounds) It's been two weeks now, and we're talking every day on the phone for hours, or on msn. We tell each other that we love each other, and the whole situation's getting realy intense. we can't stop thinking about each other..he has a girlfriend, and we haven't told our partners about what we've been doing. What i'm asking is, is this wrong? because it doesn't feel wrong..we haven't arranged to meet or anything. What should I do?
