If you never bid for it, you never won it. Check it out on the eBay site itself, don't trust an email with a link - that probably goes to a 'Phishing' site, i.e.: a bogus eBay site where you will be asked for personal bank details and not only will you never receive the mythical Sega Megadrive 2 you 'won', but you will have your bank account emptied too!

If you didn't bid on it it is a hoax. People in different countries do it all the time to get free money and they can't get arrested if they do do it. I sold a PSP on ebay and someone from Nicaragua said they would pay 500 dollars for it if we sent it the next day. They said that they wanted to buy it for one of the friends. We didnt do it and ended up selling the PSP for 300 two days later. This in the same way is kind of the same. People want you to buy something and will not send it to you.
But also double check that it wasn't a item that you had previously bidded on. You could never hurt to check.
Hope that wil help you out

This will be a scam - Just log in to your account and you will see whether you have really won it or not. If in your account it says you have won it, then either you bid on the wrong item or somebody's hacked you (if so report it to the safety centre - online help is the best way to do this).
Don't log in using a link from an email only log in by typing ebay.co.uk or off your favourites, good luck.

Don't do it.
I sold something on eBay and everyone who bid on it was deluged with fake emails trying to get them to send payment for the item.
One guy got 6 separate offers. Some from as far away as Africa.
Just keep your money and bid on one that's legit.
Be sure to check the feedback of the person selling the item.. Most of the ebayers are pretty good people. In over 1500 transactions I only lost money 2 times.
Love and blessings Don

hi. This sounds like a pretend e mail pretending to be from ebay, do not click on any link on it. bypass for your Ebay account trough your seaech engine and click on MY EBAY. If the same message isn't there that is a scam to get your information.

If you didn't bid then you didn't win unless you made a mistake.
This is probably a scam.
Go to your Ebay page and look in the 'won' section on the right hand side.
If it aint there, then you aint won it and you certainly aint going to get it even if you pay or you don't.

If you didn't bid on that item and you pay for it, you will never see your money, or the product again! It's a spoof.
Report it to www.spoof@ebay.co.uk
Take care and beware!
