There is evidence of this everywhere. Married people get tax breaks, single people are charged more for car insurance, on the grounds that married people are more responsible, and so on. Why is this?

If so, how do they know it was the BEST Little Whorehouse in Texas? Do they have a whorehouse ranking system like AAA or ZAGAT's? Do people get to vote? If the Best Little Whorehouse couldn't fulfill its duties as Best Little Whorehouse, would the First-Runner-Up Whorehouse assume its duties?

Also, if there is a Best LITTLE Whorehouse, is there a Best BIG Whorehouse as well?

The hippy rebelled against the defined 'way' in the 60's

Chavs, like 'me or hate 'em, do what they want and have a common dress code. To me, chavs create crime due to boredom and lack of opportuinity.

The chav has been created by the country and just change from hippy to punk to rudeboy to whatever over time.

UK has a very high level of binge drinking.

Is this caused by coping with such a messed-up society or just an unexplained trend?

I believe that in England, if you want to get drugs then you will. The law cannot prevent you from obtaining them but will punish you if you get caught.

Some people take drugs because they are illegal for the 'buzz' but there are many reasons to take them.

When drugs are illegal, there is no control - the black market uses demand and supply to set a price and the highest price is the desired drug to sell.

A junkie will go out and steal, mug or prostitue themself to get money for their fix - this is an additional crime.

So the law as it is will not prevent drug taking and in effect makes additional crime.

Why not legalise ALL drugs - control the supply, control the effects and have a rethink about what a crime really is?

Does anyone else from the United States feel attacked and/or threatened when other countries use the word 'American' in a sentence describing us? It seems like many times, when people from other countries talk about the US in negative ways, instead of blaming our government, president, or a select group of people, most of the time they just blame 'Americans'. Such as: 'how can Americans be so self-centered?', 'why are Americans so racist?', and ‘how could Americans have allowed this war in Iraq to continue’. So now I don’t feel bad for being from the U.S., but I despise being called an American (anyway, I’m a statesman, technically). Just curious, any one else flinch at the word?
