I mean...like casually! Like "How are you?", "Have a nice day.." , "See you later!" I mean...why do we say these casual things if we don't mean them...?

Yes...! Unfortunately, sometimes it is important stuff like..."I love you" or "You don't look fat in that" or "Sure, I missed you!" Those are the ones that hurt.....When casual "comments" turn into painful lies!

Sure, everyone does that. In addition, I occasionally say very inflamitory things that I don't mean just to get a reaction.

Its not that I don't mean it, but its like starters and endings.Plus,these words don't really affect anything

it's just being polite and it's in most of us...however not all of us as i have a friend who ways it like it is..ALWAYS!

social pleasantries. but you can mean them if you change how you feel when you say them. it is all about perception.

what kind of question is this???? i could understand if you work with the public then i can see you HAVING to say these things...otherwise why do you do it if you dont want to????
