There is evidence of this everywhere. Married people get tax breaks, single people are charged more for car insurance, on the grounds that married people are more responsible, and so on. Why is this?

Married people are more likely to have children. Officials want to encourage people to have children by giving married people tax breaks and other benefits. It's necessary for the country that people reproduce in order to provide future working force and future tax payers and that's why officials try to encourage reproduction.

yes, and don't forget how single people pay taxes so the children they don't have can go to public school for free. Especially since America is considered a 'christian' culture, and all the ranting from the pulpit about how being single is "better than married" for christian people. Another big hypocrisy in the church. I think it's just because most people are married so the advantages go that way.

Because the person of the fat bachelor went out the house, whereas that has been married had much time in the house.
So not have the worried feeling of giving the fracture insurance.
