when people say we need you to help donate to lost and sick/ homeless pets, when there are millions of people living without the basic things in life? Wouldn't you rather help out a dying person than just some animal?

Am I the only person who hides his bong when the show "COPS" comes on?
It just seems like, if I can see them, then they can see me. I feel uncomfortable doing unlawful things while "COPS" is on. Like unatural to smoke a doobie while looking at Cops busting people. Am I alone on this? All references to illegal or unlawful behavior implied by this statment are ficticious. "Bong" refers to a water pipe used for the inhalation of Tobacco and other legal substances. This question cotains a chemical known to cause brain damage by the State of California, and should not be used without proper ventilation.

Let me clarify my original statement and position about insignificance
I'm not melancholic, depressed, suicidal or have low selse esteem. When I say insignificant I mean that no one is any better or worse than any one else. Everyone has something to give and to teach.
For example-The President may be able to run the country and teach you how but he may not be able to bake a kick butt lasange and you could teach him that.
Another way of explaining what I mean is when people are refusing to get over for ambulances,police cars, or fire engines thinking who cares I have places to go-well that vehicle could be on its way to save someone you love and I bet that if you were in that vehicle or were waiting for the help you wouldn't want someone impeding it

The war in Iraq, Israel vs Palestine, Israel vs Lebanon ... All my life I have been made highly aware of the tension and violence in the Middle East. I know that since one small sliver of land is held sacred by three separate religions, there's fight over territory. I know that since the area sits atop the world's largest oil reserve, what happens on the surface matters to us. But for YEARS I have tried to understand, though with not much devotion, the fundamental conflict in the Middle East, and I just don't get it. Why are we there? Why the suicide bombings? I believe that if we all realized that each of us individually is the least significant person on Earth that there would be less self-centeredness,less violence,less greed and more compassion, more empathy, and more peace.
Also there would be more truly charitable works, humanitarian efforts, less poverty and less hunger.

I am a 26yo SWF who is a mother of one small child. I live in an apartment that is owned by a minor who inherited the complex from his grandparents. He leases the building through a realtor until he takes over at 18. He is a Japanese boy who is about six inches taller than I and has about 50 pounds on me. I am small and petite for my age. He asked me to go to a movie with him. I went with him to the movie.
After the movie we drove back to the apartment complex where we live. I picked up my daughter from a neighbor who was watching her. He came over and we talked about why he no longer lived with his parents. He said they wanted to retire to Florida. He asked me where the father of my daughter was. I told him he was in Iraq but he had no contact . I told him even though I was a nurse I was still struggling because he left me with a lot of debt plus I had student loans to repay. He asked me if I would like to live for free. I knew what he wanted but never gave him an answer.
