Teenagers lie to their friends to fit in and look cool. They lie to their teachers to keep them from calling their parents. They lie to thier parents to keep from getting in trouble. Dont worry, if you remain firm but not harsh and show them they will not be in as much trouble if they just tell the truth, they will gradually stop. Already been thru 3 teenagers myself.
