My friend and I saw a man on the side of the road with a sign that said "Will work for food" we thought the man was hungry and we had Kentucky Fried Chicken with us. Just bought it. We stoped and gave this to him. On driving away we looked in the rearview mirror and he threw it over the guardrail. Has this ever happened to anyone else? It's no wonder people don't want to help the needy.

If you found £5 or £10 in the street, I suspect most of us would simply pocket it and think it was our lucky day ( not that it happens very often .... ). But where would you draw the line before you report it or hand it in ? £50? £100? Much more? Is it all about being honest or simply sensible? Oh, sensible replies please !

I am young(early 20's) and plan to go to graduate school in a couple of years...somehow I am getting the impression that looks play a part on how far you go not only in your career. I know that many might disagree but from my own personal experiences I think that others will help you out( not necessarily make live easier but just help you out) if your looks aren't so bad. What do you guys think?
Oh, before any one has a heart attack.... I am not saying that a use my looks to get ahead in the corporate ladder I am just saying that it doesn't hurt if you are "easy on the eyes."

that people in the Medical Profession should be resticted from wearing, make up, perfumes, hairsprays, I can't believe they can at all. I worked in a very large Casino we were not allowed to were very much of any of those things, because it could be offensive to a customer and yet when you are sick and you have to smell all those strong smells it's bad.

The USS Ronald Reagan cost the American taxpayer 4.5 billion dollars and carries enough food to feed 6000 sun bathers for 3 months, without let, at 18,000 thousand meals a day while guzzling the same amount of fuel an economy car would need to traverse the globe 4200 times! It will cost 1 billion dollars for 3 square meals to the starving children of Africa and to equip them with education to graduate school level. i need to know which one makes for a better global society.;

I don't like any term that categorizes and classifies a certain group of human beings, but differences are reality and should be celebrated, and used to educate not discriminate.

I've often wondered about this, but have been too shy to ask any black people that I know personally, for fear of offending them.

Is African-American the correct term or is it just a politically correct term propagated by the American media? Does it apply globally?

What about black people from Jamaica and the tropics and other continents/countries besides Africa? Do they want to be called African-American?

There are white people in Africa too, especially South Africa. If they immigrate to the U.S. are they considered African-American?

What do you call black people who do not live in the US? African-Canadian? African-English? I am sincerly confused and uneducated on the topic.

What about black people in Africa? Are they African-Africans? Are Jamaicans African-Jamaican?

Please someone enlighten me.
