I asked a question about displaying the Confederate Flag outside my home and people thought I was serious. First I will fly any dam flag if I chose to, and I don't plan on taking any sensivity courses about it. I chose not to since the war is over and I am a Northerner, It's about slavery still is in the northern minds and most blacks, shame on you , don't you know Lincoln free the slaves in the South? Yes, but only in the South, The slaves in the north stayed Slaves till 2 or 3 years after the war. I don't mean to bust on anybody, but learn some history fer Pete's sake. Oh! thanks for all the answers, it was fun reading them.

why do we receive gifts from other people. Does anybody think it would be a great idea if we gave all of our friends a small gift each on our birthday. That way we wouldnt be encouraged to be as greedy and we would get little gifts throughout the year. Also there would be no danger of forgetting anyones birthday as you only do the buying on your own.

Any thoughts?

House numbers in America seem to have astonishingly large numbers; in the hundreds, thousands or even tens of thousands.

How does this work, surely there aren't that many houses in the street?

In the 50's you used to be able to trust people. You used to be able to leave doors unlocked. Now, you need locks, alarm systems, and surveillance cameras. Schools have metal detectors. More weapons in school. Weapons of mass destuction. Greater diseases like STD's, AIDs, and bird flu Parents killing and abusing children. Do you think society will continue to downfall in more people don't take action?

I saw a license plate frame on a car in a parking lot that said "you call me bi*tch as if that was a bad thing." This made me so sad for whoever the woman is that I left a sticky note on the car saying "re: your license plate frame.......SAD!"
It really is sad.

I don't know for sure but I see very little done there to try to fix problems. It is up to the people as they are many. It is such a beautifull country with so much natural resources.

It seems like since the Iraqi war began nobody seems to remember Afghanistan. You know, that small country we shelled out and promised to rebuild? (We are using a billion dollars a week in Iraq, you know.) Then a soon as they media stopped paying attention, so did nearly everyone else. What happened?
