Not every state puts parents' names on birth certificates. My mother was born in NYC in 1920, and her birth certificate does have her parents' names and a lot more information. However I was born in NJ in 1952 and my birth certificate does not have my parents' names on it.

Depends on where you were born. Every state/province/etc gets to decide how much (or how little) information goes on their birth certificates. Some include more than others. I've seen a few that don't include anything but your name and birth date, and others that even mentioned what your parents did for a living and where THEY were born. There's a lot of variation out there.

Maybe you should research this question another way.
Ask your parents the question your asking us. By rights I believe your parents name should be on there, but, maybe you were adopted and you don't know it. You better sit so called mom and so called dad down for a long chat about this birth certificate business.
The truth will set you free!!!
Good Luck
