I am trying not to make blanket generalisations but my experiences over the past two weeks are making me feel this. I have been advertising my MP3, TV and DVD combi and designer boots on Ebay and another wesite and so far have only experienced responses from Nigerian people. If the item is £45 they want to give me a cheque for £2000, then they want to send a courier to collect the boots and for me to pay the difference from the £2000 in cash to a third party.
Evidently this is a 419 scam but these email responses have been so numerous, all wanting me to post my items to Nigeria under similar conditions, and I've become somewhat angry about it all now.

Why is this activity so widespread in this country? I posted a question on an African website and the response was "learned behaviour", "poverty" and "British oppression" none of which I fell for. Anyone got any suggestions as to why this is so widespread here. Of course, I understand that it also goes on in many other countries....

Since my grandson was about six he always said there shouldn't be urinals some perverted men look at the boys. there is no reason for urinals they are gross that men stand there in front of everyone with their privates out. and even if a child uses the stall he can't be in there without seeing all those mens privates. i think they should be removed.

hehe (its worth a shot) well im turning 16 in august and i need a car so i dont have to ride the gross city bus morning (fearing you are going to get raped every morning and night is not a good feeling.) my family is not poor because i mean we have a computer but they told me they cant afford to get me a car. they work everday, long hours (which is why i take the bus) so they dont just sit around on welfare they simply cant afford it. im going to be a junior next year (I go to University high--- its kinda advanced hence the name university...i am good student with good grades and im going to go to a big college to study sociology, so im gonna need a car to get there and visit my parents.) I also do lots of volunteer work that i have to walk to or ride my bike or the bus because i dont have a car... but if you buy me one i can get there in no time and do more v. work. now before you say no or lease some wise crack remark rememer-----im im a nice, cute girl who is sweeeet and loves you.

I never really liked the people from high school in the first place and couldn't wait to move on to college. What do you sugget I do when people message me who think that I might actually want to talk to them and have not moved on to other friends? I don't want to burn bridges with them and I would like to stay aqaintinces with them because it does no good to have many people dislike you. If I saw them out at the store, I'd say hi, but I don't want to have a back and forth regular communication. The internet really has made it too easy to find people, but that doesn't mean that they shoudl talk. Should I just take a while to respond or what?

BE What You Gotta be!, but don't ruin a great word like gay!! That is my main objection to homosexuals. They have ruined a word that can't be replaced by any other word. Happy just doesn't explain how you feel when you are gay. If you express yourself as being gay, you will be greatly missunderstood. A lot of youngerfolks don't even know what the word 'gay' really means. It means "euforicly happy" (as happy as it gets). Now.. tell me that a gueer claiming to be gay isn't redulious. Call yourself what you are if you are so dam* proud of it!! Be proud of being homosexual or try something else. So there!!
