Mythology & Folklore - April 2007

I have heard that many cultures have stories of floods, but I am having trouble finding what they are. Any good books you know of that talk about it? Or just something that I can look up, such as the name of a myth? Thanks

Ok well my best freinds grandmother taught her something with cards..not tarot cards just regular cards..but it cant be used for playing) u ask a question ..yes or no question and it gives u the answer..she taught it to me and so far everytime i do it comes out right.. one time i had lost my money in my room, it was a big mess everywhere.. i was getting ready for school and i needed the money & i didnt have much time either.. so quickly i started looking everywhere i couldnt find it.. so i took out the cards, i asked"is it in my droors?"NO.. "is it somewhere on the floor"?NO.. i asked about 15 times until finally I asked "is it in any of my pockets?" it came out YES ..and I checked my jeans and there it was.!! Also, each time u do it it takes about 3 minutes to finally get ur answer. I was just wondering if anyone knows how to do anything like that with cards.??

About 5 years ago my dad stepped out of the house to take a smoke break and he came back in after 5 mins and he told my mom he felt and saw something weird and he had a feeling there was something wrong with someone from my moms side of the family, in a different country. he told my mom to call them and see if everything is ok but she didn't because she thought he was losing his mind..well anyways the next day my moms uncle came over to tell us that my grandfather (moms dad) had passed away the day before..he said that my grandpa had a heart attack and no one was home ..by the time someone came over and the ambulance got there it was already too late, he had passed away.... I thought it was really freaky.. is my dad psychic or something?

My girlfriend of 10 yrs walked out on me 7 weeks ago, because i hadnt already proposed to her. I know it sounds bad, Yes i was planning on asking her and ive got the ring and ive told her since. She lost interest in me because she didnt think i was 100% into our relationship. I am and i did take her for granted, but after 10 yrs its very easy to do. I love her sooo much and she knows this, i talked to her last night and asked her if we hung out, is there any chance she could fall in love with me again and she said maybe but she wouldnt allow herself to do it. She thinks that i would fall back into my old ways, ive guranteed her that ive never felt like this before and i wouldnt allow myself to. We had a good relationship, we hardly argued and if we did we sorted it out that day. Ive been told by a friend to try a love spell.
Do they work and what are the side effects in the future. If its bad to make her love me, could i do one to make her realise how serious i am about us

have any of u ever been to a psychic and the predictions have come true? I just wonder if it's actually possible.. The other day I was at the mall just shopping around...Some lady approached me and told me that I seemed "interesting to her" and she gave me her card, she was located in beverly hills and she told me to go sit down with her and she'll give me a reading only for $20. she said if i call her over the phone she would charge me $200. but because i was "interesting" to her, she wanted to tell me stuff right away. I thought it was complete bull..so i told her no.. she called me stubborn and said that's why I have bad luck anyway. it was just weird bcuz we were in a store and so many ppl were around..but she only approached me..... Anyways , I'm confused ..Is it actually possible for someone to predict ur future?????

The troll is a universally known character and a common image in Euro/Scandinavian mythology. The troll has made numerous appearances in popular culture, occupying the central role in movies like Troll, Troll 2, and Troll 3. What really puzzles me is this: when nothing even approaching a scientific study has been performed to verify or disprove the existence of trolls, why are people so quick to deny their existence? I'll grant you this: nothing has been done to prove that trolls exist. However, it's at least conceivable that trolls exist, as we can imagine a world in which trolls live yet remain hidden from human scrutiny. Why not adopt a more serious, reasonable, and informed stance on the possibility of the troll existing?
