Friday the thirteenth is considered the unluckiest of days in many superstitions, unless you were born on Friday the thirteenth in which case it is your lucky day.
The fear of Friday the 13th is called paraskavedekatriaphobia or paraskevidekatriaphobia, a specialized form of triskaidekaphobia, a phobia (fear) of the number thirteen.
Origins
The origins of Friday superstitions are many. One of the best known is that Eve tempted Adam with the apple on a Friday. Tradition also has it that the Flood in the Bible, the confusion at the Tower of Babel.
The origins of the Friday the 13th superstition have also been linked to the fact there were 13 people at the last supper of Jesus, who was traditionally crucified on Good Friday, but it probably originated only in medieval times.
It has also been linked to the fact that a lunisolar calendar must have 13 months in some years, while the solar Gregorian calendar and lunar Islamic calendar always have 12 months in a year.

I do believe its an unlucky day, but not like "step on a crack, break your mothers back" i think of jason and the movie friday the thirteenth.

Friday the 13th is unlucky. It is so called because it was on Friday the 13th that the Pope had all of the Knights of the Templar arrested or killed.

I don't consider it unlucky although there have been some bad fridays. Black Friday (I think) was the crash of the stock market and the original reference is to the extermination of the Templars in France.

Friday the 13 is a mystical day in which bad events occur some people belive in this and some people use it for excusses wich explains what friday the 13

it is a very unlucky day and for me especially and i dont even go to school on fri 13 cause last time i did i failed a math test that i studied 2 hours for

it is a day a day that most people are afraid of because it is supposedly an unlucky day. i don't believe in that crap because who cares if you step on a crack or other things like that

today's the best i've felt all week. and no, because superstition is just the irrational belief that future events are influenced by specific behaviors, without having a causal relationship.

well i think it is lucky but my friends say its bad luck so far my day got luckier and more luckier!!
