I would say that no, my proper name is Louis Dominique Bourguignon...and then I would steal whatever valuables and personal effects you had on you...Which would be easy, if your medieval clothes involved armor...as I would push you over and then you would have to wait for a kind person to help you up, and boy would your face be red.

Cartouche is actually a french word (it was a frenchman who was first to decipher the hieroglyphs)
and I wouldnt think it strange that you spoke french
as french was a popular language in medieval times even memebers of the english royal court spoke it.
so my reply to 'Cartouche" would be a puzzled glance and I maybe would repeat the " Cartouche?" back to you in hopes that you would use it in a complete sentence so we could have a real conversation.

I'd think you were a member of the Society for Creative Anachronisms or on your way to the Renaissance Faire.
But I don't have my dictionary handy to know what "cartouche" means. Isn't that something in Egyptian studies?

I'd tell you the name of a psychiatrist and give you her number. If you ran up the street where I live, people would probably ignore you anyway, the other day, there was a woman dressed as a cow jogging up the street in the middle of the day and people carried on as if nothing was different in any way.

I would wonder exactly why you were doing it.
I mean I know why I want to be buried in full plate armor, inside a viking longboat, inside a pyramid, but "to screw with the minds of historians of the future" does not seem to fit in.
Of course, you could always just be a very bored person
