It is said that The Ouija Board is best used at the seance hour of 2:00 am, I'm not sure since we are under the daylight savings time if you should preform at 2:00 or 3:00??
October, I'd like to clarify that the reason today's Ouija Boards are sold by toy makers, and in the game section is because the original creator sold the rights to Kennard Novelty Company, Parker Brothers, just as the creator of Monopoly, Charles B. Darrow, did the same. This does not make it a "toy!!"
The first commercially available Ouija board was manufactured by the Kennard Novelty Company in Baltimore, MD. and bears the patent date of February 10 1891.
The following year William Fuld introduced what would become the proverbial 'father' of all Ouija and talking boards. His design is a near perfect copy of the Kennard board.
Luckily for Fuld, Mr. Kennard lost all his money and his former employee Fuld took up the slack.
The Parker Brothers eventually bought the Ouija name and design from William Fuld in 1966. The current Ouija board is produced by Hasbro, who acquired Parker Brothers in 1990. There were several precursors to the standard Ouija board prior to this time, including home made versions in 1880.
The main inspiration was drawn from a planchette available during the 19th Century. People used these devices for automatic writing. A planchette is a flat piece of wood, usually oval in shape, with a pencil or pen inserted in the middle. The wooden piece rested on rollers or casters, and was placed upon a sheet of paper. The user then asked a question, closed their eyes, and placed their writing hand on the planchette. The 'spirits' would then guide the writer's hand and form words and information.
By 1920 their popularity was so great that many large newspapers ran articles and regular columns dealing with the phenomena of The Talking Boards.
Other examples similar to the Talking Board are the casting of Runes, a scrying glass, throwing bones (dice), reading cards or simple meditation.
Since Ouija is the oldest known brand name, and has survived hundreds of other talking board companies, most folks erroneously refer to all of these boards as Ouija. It's kind of like calling all photocopies a Xerox, even though there are many other brands of copy machines.
Ouija and talking boards were extremely popular from 1900 through 1950. At one time virtually every home in America had a Ouija board.
There were hundreds of companies making these boards, some of whom are still in business.
Ouija board was first portrayed as an agent of the devil in the Excorcist. The popular 'game' suddenly took on a dark side and Ouija boards were thrown in the trash all over the world.
Stories of possession by demons and spirits, conjured up by teenagers with the Ouija board, proliferated.
After purchasing the Ouija name and patent from William Fuld, the Parker Brothers moved their factory to Salem, Massachusetts.

A simple OuiJa board can be made with slips of paper with letters on them and numbers if you wish, as well a two slips that say Yes and No. Arrange them in a circle on a smooth surface. Place an upside down glass in the middle of the circle and have those who wish to participate place a forefinger on the edge of the glasses bottom. Ask a question. There is no special time.
Remember, the glass and the slips have no power. Your hidden thoughts, needs, and sometimes devinations will start the glass moving for good or evil.

This all goes on faith. I want to start by saying this: I believe in God and I believe in the Devil.
A Ouija Board is considered the Devil's play toy. But if you don't believe in him then take this explanation: the ouija board opens up the spirit world allowing you to communicate with them. If you intend on using one then you have to know that the majority of spirits attracted to the board are angry. Plus I would also advise that if you are not a medium (someone who can speak with the dead) or you do not know one, you may want to stay away from the ouija board, because if you have spirit haunting the room you're in, you can anger it too.
Most people don't believe in the spirit world. I know it exists and I know that the angry and hated spirits can cause harm to the living, you have to be very careful when using a ouija board. I get horrible feelings whenever I touch one, so I just don't mess with them.
I say to be on the safe side, don't use one. You never know what might be on the other side.

The Ouija board is a psyonic device, not a toy. It will work at any time of day or night. Spirits don't worry about the time. But know that once you call spirits through that doorway, they don't HAVE to leave. If they wish, they can attach themselves to you, and you have NO WAY of getting rid of them if you decide you don't like it.
It's not a smart game to play.

Best time to use your board is during the 'full moon'.
Please treat it with total respect, regardless of what people say these are 'NOT' toys to be played with. By using a ouija board you are opening up a gateway to the spirit realm.
You should also cleanse and consecrate it before use.
If possible have someone who has some experience of them or the spirit realm present to keep you right.
I have seen a lot of good come of these boards but sad to say have seen some bad too due to lack of knowledge.
I personally have a lovely glass topped slate one with the tree of life on it.
You can also use them for dowsing.
Please be careful and if your not a 100% just leave it till you have read up or gained more knowledge of them.
If i can further help just ask...

The only power it has is the power of suggestion. The only thing dangerous about the Ouija Board are the morons who think it's real.

They say you can use this at any time. As always, midnight is supposed to be the ideal time.
You shall never me less that two, and not have been drinking alcohol (or taken drugs). It works best for "untouched" people.
