With our elitely trained and highly technologically armed forces spread thin across the globe. The citizens dwell lavishly, bottled perfume resting beside our hot runnig water. As night falls we rest our heads on soft pillows the biggest worries often only whether we need to diet or exercise to preserve our carved figures. No passion no real fear just empty unfeeling voids that inly think within at what the world is to us what it means to us and how we can get more.

Will our extravengent self indulgence be the ruination of our empire. Can we fight a war that we do not really care for when those we fight believe so much they are willing to celebrate their sons and daughters sacrifice of life.

I see crumbling white pillars stained red with our blood in the future. Unless we open our eyes to the truth and look at the world ebbing toward us the dark tide of despair and suffering is upon us. It creeping with guile just as the sea surely caresses our shores.

I'm interested in learing any snippets of ritual or magickal practice that other Friends of Loki may wish to share. I understand that a lot of those things are private, but I'm the ever-curious sort, so I'm asking anyways. How do you alter your state of consiousness? What do you give as offerings? How do you call Him and by what Name?(Loki, Lokke, Loptr, Lodur??) What was your first conversation with Him like?
I am not a crazy person. I am simply someone with a rather eccentric belief system who's kinda nosy.
Personally, when not in ritual, I refer to him as Captain Fabulous. He's always a fan of artisan bread, real sweet cream butter, good cheese, Pinot Noir, sausages, Mountain Dew, smashed PlayDoh sculptures and a finely rolled joint.

I had a dream (and I've had similar ones before) in which my family was clearing out a lot of old clutter and, way in the back of a dusty shelf, I found several hamster cages that had been stored away--but oh no! There were still hamsters in them! These poor hamsters had been so forgotten, they must've gone YEARS w/o food or water, and some were lying near death, although others seemed to have somehow managed to do okay, and were just a little feral. I felt so guilty, to have forgotten there were hamsters in the cages when I stored them away, and began desperately trying to save the ones I could and figuring out the kindest way to euthanize the ones near death. In only one cage were the hamsters long, long dead.

I've got to think that if this dream has any subconscious message, it has something to do with having forgotten something, or something I've neglected still hanging on, but... hamsters???
