Oh -- I should give credit -- this is from a Joseph Campbell quote (which I guess is why I put it in mythology)

No, I am the filament inside the light bulb that rattles around when it breaks.

I am the light of which the bulb is the vehicle. The bulb is my physical body. The essence of ME is the light. This light will pass on and join the eternal light that some believe is GOD after my body perishes.

By the way, my favorite quote is: "Follow your bliss." by Joseph Campbell

This should be in the philosophy section. It just sounds so philosofic (sp?) to me. Since I seem to understand the question, I think my answer woudl be yes, I am the bulb that carries the light. And don't ask to to describe how I "get" the question cause I just couldn't explain it.

That's one way of looking at it. Some people are kind of "dim" either way though, right?
