I'm interested in learing any snippets of ritual or magickal practice that other Friends of Loki may wish to share. I understand that a lot of those things are private, but I'm the ever-curious sort, so I'm asking anyways. How do you alter your state of consiousness? What do you give as offerings? How do you call Him and by what Name?(Loki, Lokke, Loptr, Lodur??) What was your first conversation with Him like?
I am not a crazy person. I am simply someone with a rather eccentric belief system who's kinda nosy.
Personally, when not in ritual, I refer to him as Captain Fabulous. He's always a fan of artisan bread, real sweet cream butter, good cheese, Pinot Noir, sausages, Mountain Dew, smashed PlayDoh sculptures and a finely rolled joint.

I always toast Loki when I toast the other Gods as well as doing special rituals just to honor him. He holds a special place in my heart, thus my screen name one here. I tend to use a combination of liquor (or mead) and Acapulco gold to alter my consciousness. I use aged liquors or wine and salmon when I make on offering to Loki.

I just call him Loki. I must admit, out of any God I have ever prayed to or talked to he has always responded the fastest and always has made his presence known.

One of the things that I do, much to the utter chagrin and dismay of other participants, is during sumble I raise a horn to him. I make it a point to position myself as close to the main speaker as possible as the first horn is always reased to Odin and one cannot be rasied to Odin without one being offered to Loki, as stated in the Lokisenna or the "Flyting of Loki" In the poetic Edda. As part of my every day living, I make it a point to live a very chaotic lifestyle. Also I do tend to leave chaos and discord in my wake. I usually simply refer to him by his name, Loki.

As for altering my conscious...well...a few bottles of good mead will take care of that, although I am not, when the opportunity arises, averse to...other means of inducing an altered state, if you take my meaning.

Offerings, offerings....? My oferings usually take the form of the lifestyle I live...acting in complete disregard to the possibility that there eve are consequences...stirring things up just to see what happens.

here is a link that I think sums up Loki pretty well:

I grant my campfire to the deities forgotten. The ancients that are lost to us. those that all of us honor or ignore about. I even do not have any particular ones because i love all of them. each and every has a strong point and prefer to be recognized. So, what, i love all and sundry, and that is a foul component? Lol
