I've heard that Norwegian, Swedish and Icelandic are all so similar, that if you can read, write and speak one, you can at least understand the others on a basic level. Is this true, and if it is, how much of a similarity is there? Is it like Spanish vs. Italian and other Romance Languages?
I am most interested in knowing what Icelandic is 'compatible' with, as this language has the greatest similiarity to Old Norse.

So a boy from Campinas told me that it doesn't really matter which you use. I've seen things like esses dias and este carro, so maybe esse is for "untouchable" things. Like esses sentimentos? I'm probably wrong so could someone explain? Btw it's Portuguese not Spanish (last time I got a whole bunch of answers from spanish speakers lol)

Why most of societies can not adopt the law of the religions in daily use? I mean the government must use the law written by human, not extracted from the bibble.

their bibble is not a miracle or multi-powerful tool, and lacking of many facts linked to our modern society. Is this true to prove this is just a high-level fairy tales from our ancestors???

Basically I'm learning Portuguese and I'm trying to decided if I should study aboard in Brazil or Portugal. I'm sure I'd have an amazing time in either country, but I'm curious to know if Brazilians can understand people from Portugal and vice versa.
